Rumours and Stuff

While this is true Barry, if the NRL decided not to put the difference between Fifita's Sharks contract and the offer from the Dogs onto the Dogs cap, why would they now decide to do the same for us?

Because the Dogs never paid Fifita the difference. We'll only get slugged if there is a either a court ordered payment, or a settlement (as has occurred). And, of course, we don't actually know for sure that we have been slugged.

Fifita never signed a contract. He signed an MOU. And the Dogs backed out with a couple of weeks, citing inability to meet contingencies in the MOU....they didn't string him along for months.

Cos it was fifita who withdrew when fine details were put in writing

Will be interesting to see what the NRL does if Carney wins his unfair dismissal.

Also I wonder if the NRL may be putting the hoppa pay out on our cap (and we have nothing official yet to say they are) to rein in our signing / spending spree and stop some bad publicity??

I can just see an article / campaign from the telecrap very soon questioning how unfair it is that we were just caught cheating but we are now spending up big for 2017. And how this is unfair for other clubs.

Mjc the Telegraph got about everything right with their stories on us this year. What makes you think this is any different.
How do you know they got everything right? The only stuff confirmed to the public were the things officially announced by the NRL or the club. There was plenty of other stuff that we'll never know, particularly around the cap.

Well if we get frank fit might be handy, or would u prefer matagi? Do you reckon we will release anyone?
For me matagi is likeTerepo, runs a bit harder but terepo defense far superior.

It's pretty unfair to the Bulldogs

They did once print that you enjoyed a cock sandwich. Small sample size but so far 100% correct

Matagi more impact in offence but Terepo by miles for defence, so Terepo for mine.

Would prefer Frank to Matagi as Frank can play edge, maybe it is preferred? I think though he would be defending in the middle as our depth edge D is greater than Frank brings.

YOu would think the only reason we are looking at Frank would be great value (cheap), does that match payment trick (low base, massive per match fee) work with returning ESL players?

Eels continue signing spree.

The Eels have signed promising Warriors forward Marata Niukore.

A bustling 21-year-old centre of back-rower, Niukore played two years with the Junior Kiwis and is seen as a player caoable of breaking into the NRL into the next 12 months.

Big and strong, he could be yet another one the Warriors rue letting get away.

Yeah how do they know??? Just like yesterday when you believed one flimsy article and decided to have poor old Maxy hung, drawn and quartered over something you didn't know about.........

I still don't think we need Framk Pritchard, unless he's playing for minimum wage - and signed just so he can have a final year in the same club as Kaysa, rather than retire?

Unless he's been signed so that we can agree to a release sought by an existing forward, which seems unlikely.
