They didn’t know that at the time did they? He was a very good player at his best. And weak clubs have to pay overs for everybody.
Was, i doubt he was ever very good. Just a bigger faster version of Will Smith. He's as dumb as a box of rocks. The Titans got rid of him because he was absolutely bog average for them his last couple of years. And he's been even worse for the Tigers. Hardly a f**king surprise.

They should’ve offered him $500k and watched him sign elsewhere.

Yeah or let the truth be told and shame the Devil loser. Always think you know. Ha!

Peachey’s deal is expected to set the Tigers back about $400,000 next year and about $350,000 in 2023.

$500k is less than $750k but yes it’s all hypothetical. We don’t know how much Peachey was getting paid by the Tigers. But if it was $750k over two years then I’m sure they couldn’t have gotten him by offering $500k. It’s not a stretch to say weak clubs have to pay more. I can know that without knowing the exact amounts they pay, smartarse.

I’m not sure signing someone like Crichton unless he takes a substantial paycut to about $500k is warranted. Our middles of Paulo, RCG and Matterson is up there with the strongest in the comp. With Lane on one edge and players like Cartwright on the books I think we may be set. Plus that dude we bought from the Warriors and Hopgood probably could do a job for us on the other edge.

We need the coin to keep our centres long terms and our halves. Balance is where it’s at.

And with Matterson staying long term it spells the end for Nathan Brown’s days as as 13 unless he wants to reinvent himself on the edge or be a permanent bench player.
