As soon as Moses is announced we will be everyone’s favourites again to win the comp especially after a few standout performance by our new 9.

The deathriders and the premiership window shutters will be silenced.
I am worried about the stamina of your confidence and how quickly you may re-open the Shit List thread.

Moses is the best we have and we are the best chance of him winning a comp. We both know that. However if his form drops and is consistently shit he goes on the shit list. It’s only fair.

After this year Moses' level of importance to the Parramatta side decreases.

The issue is with his new deal; financially he will be getting more (of our cap share) with a declining value as a contributor to the success of the team. This reduction in value will continue for the duration of his next contract.

Moses' kicking game accounts for a large chunk of his skillset that contributes positively to the team week in week out. As his kicking game decreases with age; the less positive impact he will have.

Do we really want to be investing more $$$ into a depreciating asset?

Kicking game doesn’t decrease as you enter your lates 20s/30s. Speed, agility and flexibility might but not kicking (or passing).

Don't you need speed, agility and flexibility to be a good kicker?

Majority of 25 year olds are going to be better kickers of a ball then 50 year olds...

Of course there are exceptions to this. But when talking about giving a player a longer contract with a pay upgrade you need to be talking probabilities not possibilities.

As Moses ages it is more likely his kicking game will regress than it will remain the same or improve.

31 is completely different to 50. I agree we shouldn’t sign Moses when he is 50.

Players are professionals these days.

They can still be near the peak in mid 30s.

Look at Cooper Cronk won 3 comps in his last 3 seasons and was 36 when he retired.

Now you can say he had better players around him.

But he still got the job done.

There is always exceptions to the rule.

Im not saying its impossible. However it is more likely Moses will regress then get better.
