Yes it is. Name all 34 centres in the NRL. Then tell me where he would sit.
If he is between 14-24 then he is average.

Above average are Penisni, Tago,Suli,Best,Herbie types while elite centres are well very few currently.
Ash Graheme wouldn't be chosen over Penisini who wouldn't even make the top 8 centres in game.

He was just a ok average player.
He wasn't a centre, he was a winger who had solid go forward and very few weaknesses. In 2011 he led the NRL in metres and in 2012 he was second for tries scored (equal first after round 26). I'd say he would easily be in the top ten wingers in the NRL at his peak.

I'm not talking about his career including NSW CUP players ffs. I am talking guys in the NRL who can make you a better side. Ash Graheme was not going to make you a better side. He was just good enough to be in the NRL but a take it or leave it player. Hardly a rare talent. In other words. AVERAGE

You want talents then you need above average. Staggs,Herbie,Crighton,Lomax,Suali, Manu
Only six dudes are 'above average'? There's 34 centres named every week. And in any case, Graham played his best football on the wing.

He was average. I don't give a f**k if he played 250games. Lots of average players do.
Ones that play 40 are guys whomare barely RL players. Not average or even below average. They are Makatoa style fill ins.
NO WONDER we haven't won a comp in 37yrs. If our management are like the fans and declare guys like Ash Graheme as a quality player FFS. Dead set bog average player like Joel Reddy was.
Reddy scored half as many tries as Graham and only won two thirds as many games. Reddy might've been average but Graham was above average. You can't argue with maths. Mik wouldn't.

Our management don't pay overs mate. It's how we remain succesfull. We let them walk.

Dylan,Moses,RCG, N.Brown,Waqa,Gutherson,Superman,Matterson,Hodgson,Jnr.

All took unders to stay. It's why we are such a succesful club. We don't bend over for players anymore. We never pay more then market value.
You know what happens when we do pay overs? 2012, 2013, 2018. Jarryd Hayne played for all three of those teams. He was too important to let walk. An absolute star of the game.

He might have been better on the wing, but he played more centre up to and including 2010. He mixed it up in 2010, then 2011,2012, 2013 he was almost exclusively a winger.
