I hear we are trying to get Nathan Peats back for season 2018. Shame it can't be this season.
I like Peats alot - and i reckon he adds alot to a team off the field - he strikes me as a bit of a smartass like KE and those types help make a tight playing group

And while i think Peats is a good player i dont think he panned out to be as good as i thought he might end up ... great defender, which is very important ... attack seems lacking ... could be that he is playing to instruction, i dunno ... when he went to the GC i thought perhaps he'd play more attacking footy under a different coach, but i dont know if he really did

For me Peats is a guy you will pay slightly overs for what you actually get. Good tough hooker who will cost 400k+
Still lacks any real kicking game and his running game is just average. His first season at Parra was his best. Those 10 games he was in our top 5 players each week. Seemed to lot bit of his sharpness from dummy half since the injury thou. As far as hooker go thou there just is not a whole lot of quality around.

"I can probably do a bit more for myself up here rather than Parra – I'm not working as hard on my defence – and that's nothing against Parra. I loved my footy while I was there and I loved playing there, but I probably wasn't doing as much work [on my attack] down there as I am up here

Yeah definitely sounds like he would never play at parra again

that's just one line

the rest of what he said indicates he didn't like it that much seeing he told Hayne the coaching style was better at the GC
I dunno .... if BA gave him a big hug, a nice pay cheque and said something moderately nice about attack I reckon he'd be back .... he doesnt seem like a guy to carry a grudge

With our current squad I'd go with:
1. French
2. Radradra
3. Jennings
4. Taka, (ball handling and defence can be very ordinary. Jennings junior could be an option)
5. Hoffman
6. Gutherson
7. Norman

I think this is why King is the best option at 9. He has vision at dummy half and can get things happening in attack. We don't have organising halves, we have two running playmakers. King gives us a good organiser in the middle.

If Peats came back that would be great. Very good dummy half in both attack and defence. Could / should be NSW hooker this year. Thank goodness Sterlo is there and we aren't stuck with just Daley calling the shots.

If Semi is able to play in 2017 is there any chance he moves to Fullback? If signed long term we could afford to pay him a fullbacks coin. He would be more involved in a game and is by FAR our best attacking weapon.
Everyone says Bevan is to good to play wing. And he is. But why isn't Semi considered? There is a chance he could become the best fullback in the game. Bevan can become a very good fullback, but if he was able to be in the top half of fullback in the game it would be an effort. Like Holmes is there a rush to move him from the wing?
I've been saying this for a while. However, organizing the defence might let him down

But Jennings also said he would never play for Parra too!!!

$$$ and some persuasion by some of his ex-team mates could get him over..

However, I agree with the other poster who said he lacks speed around the ruck and lacks a solid kicking game

Actually, I think the Fog might have the build to be a hooker.

That never stopped Hayne... couldn't organise contraception in a brothel, let alone organise a team's front line defence - but he still became one of the best fullbacks in recent memory.

(Happy New Year everyone :p)
