Harsh on Ferguson.
He may not have been as good as Jennings, but he was definitely an above-average outside-back. Especially when we signed him.

Also, I'm guessing you mean outside-backs, because we were able to attract Moses to the club. Even when he was at the Tigers he was above-average (even if very slightly).

It seemed like we were hoping to find quality in our outside backs through the juniors. Penisini has done fine, but the rest haven't panned out the way I imagine we hoped.

It would be good to attract a quality, above-average centre/winger to our club again and I don't know why we can't. Other teams either seem to be a quality destination in terms of opportunity to win (Roosters, Souths, Melbourne) or are so desperate they pay overs (Dogs, Tigers, Dragons). Considering our form over the last 5 years, I would think we'd be a team that can offer opportunities to win, but apparently not.

For one year...
2nd average
3rd in reserve grade

He was still a very good winger. Top shelf.
He was

I was worried in 2018 when we signed him.

We had culture issues at the time it was when it was announced in July 2018 on top of being dead last at the time going through a miserable season.

I didn't Fergo was going to be a solution whatsoever to drag us off the bottom.

But in reality his spark, energy and playing in beast mode in those first 5/6 weeks of 2019 probably reinvented the squad and washed away the carcass that was 2018.

We won like 4 or 5 from those first 7 games and came 5th that year off a wooden spoon.

I’m sure he stood out because he’d signed elsewhere. Your perceptions of the player after that are completely unreliable.

Im sure you are right Pou, Im sure it was perception bias that made it seem that way. Probably the same reason Manly dropped him to reggies as well. My damn perception bias has even seen Manly push him out halfway through his Contract and for that I'd like to apologise to Kelma and his family. I'm really looking forward to all those biases being wiped away next year and Im sure we will all watch him through fresh clear eyes.

Good to see the polishing has started at such a furious pace. Can you keep that up through the whole off season?

So I've read everyone's informed opinions of Tuilagi and the so called experts at Moanly who are happy he's gone.
My first thoughts after hearing we've signed him is this is a good get.
Now does anyone have his stats on tackle efficiency etc.
Never knew his tackling was a problem or perceived problem. Did on occassions mistake him for Oloakautu. I like his offensive game. Can definitely improve someone's defensive game.
I reckon with all available players we will have one of the best packs in the comp next year.
Get 2 outside backs of quality and we will give it a real shake next yr.
This year was epic shitness for a myriad of reasons which have been discussed ad nauseam. Onwards and upwards for 2024

Depending on who replaces Flegler and Herbie the Broncos will be the team to beat next year and they will have GF experience and hunger that will make them near impossible to beat barring injuries.

I am sure the roosters will be waiting in the background for Teddy to retire.

I reckon Bula will be uncle Nick's next target in 3 years time.

Let the tigers develop him and roosters cash in when he hits his prime.

Teddy was never staying at the Tigers. Tried to leave before his debut despite the fact that the Tigers had already paid him for two years of rehab. Teddy is a special player and a special kinda merkin.

Bula is the opposite kinda merkin.

well if he was never staying than he fooled you for extra bucks thanks to the Canberra offer...but you merkins seem to be obsessed with hate you have for Moses.
