Bulldogs got Crighton out of there, probably by offering him stupid money to play fullback. Luai looks like he may be taking less to stay on.

I’m wondering how much Cleary is on. He’s probably ion unders himself(under the cap at least).

Dunster had done his ACL/MCL/PCL earlier than that time line though and Waqa has been hit an miss and I dont think anyone ever thought Loizou was first grade standard.

Opa was also leaving 11 months ago.

Russell is good he will be a fine winger and backup fullback he may develop into a center one day but not a for a few more seasons.

The club needs to prepare for this Penrith signed Alomoti recently why didn't we? He has more upside than Harper.

Like I have said Harper is only coming to our club as we are the only NRL side throwing a contract at him that's not the type of player I want.

I don’t know why we didn’t sign Alomoti. Maybe we tried. I’m sure we would have had some idea of how much he was asking from teams, and maybe we couldn’t fit it under the cap. Maybe we could pay it and would have made him an offer but he would prefer to go to Penrith.

Is he better than Harper. For sure. But I can’t say here and say “Why didn’t we just sign him” without having all the information.

well there aren’t many available now nor do we really need elite level outside backs but there were plenty available who could at least put pressure on the blokes who havent had to work hard for an nrl spot in the last 12 or so months..

True we may have tried to sign him but his asking price was too rich for someone who hasn't hit his straps in first grade.

The Roosters / Dogs have some decent Flegg centres we could be chasing.

Broncos too have some decent backs that may be enticed to leave early to come across..

My preference is not to waste a spot on Harper and train Simmonson in the offseason to play centre (he hasn't had a proper off season with us yet) along with Dick Penisini and Blaze Tualiga beefing them up and continuing their development..

Penrith might’ve offered him a starting gig. They are losing a centre.
