Given so many extensions (upgrades) to key players in the previous 12 months it’s certain that the money for this came out of the contracts of merkins who left. So the remaining spots in our roster would have been filled by cheap nuffies like Cini, AMS and JJBM. Storm have had Drinkwater,Pappy,Meaney and now this new gun kid. Falago is it? They really have found some good fullback in the last 5yrs.
Firstly they know Paps is a huge risk. They also know they have Meaney who is very good and a young gun in the waiting. Meaney is to good to not start in the NRL at fullback and the young kid is probably only a year or so away from claiming the spot.
At sametime their forward pack is garbage. Releasing Papps makes sense. I just don't think anyone touches him for more then 600k. To much risk. Storm must chip in.
