Think the recruitment has been substandard, and can’t absolve the coach as tactically nothing has evolved and inside the opposition 10 there seems no plan other than crash balls.
Think it’s an honest reflection of where we are, not a full roster for 2 seasons and an absolute dearth of backline signings and speed.

Couple that with losing so much junior talent it’s pretty frustrating.

So , both are to blame but on balance not sure the roster is where it should be, and that’s been an issue since the change in admin. No objection to a coaching change, but need to streamline the admin and be far more progressive.

You keep harping on about junior retention and the recruitment team. You do realise the coach is part of the team don’t you? The entire lot need to go. We can write off this season and 2025 at this stage. How we have assembled this roster is beyond belief.

Whilst the coach may not have the final say on what we pay for the individuals we chase, he definitely has the major say on the type of player we chase. He isn't given players and told to build a balanced squad from an unbalanced mix. He determines the type of player and he is therefore fully responsible in my opinion for the balance and style of the squad.

He wanted a squad that would give us a power game and he wanted to wait for the development of the Rhino's outside backs - Penisini, Loizou, Russell, etc. Unfortunately the NRL has moved on from just having a power game and the Rhino's backs havent arrived as hoped (excl. Penisini).

I've had some time to think about this. I probably need more time but this is just my observations.

As a team we have a slug pack that has chased too many collisions.
We also have a backline that could probably be outrun by our forward pack.
We are stale with little to no initiative on how to win a game.
Self doubt on the field has become a concern over time and it's become entrenched throughout the club.
We have signed a lot of duds - I sometimes feel that we do that to comply with NRL regulations.
What the f**k is going on at the Eels Centre Of Excellence?
We need another clean out from the top down.
Someone go and find where pride in the Eels jersey went. Parramatta is the geographical centre of Sydney as well as the laughing stock centre of the NRL. The Eels........the gift that keeps on giving.

Flegg is 0/7
Nsw cup 1/7

Could be the worse state our clubs been in 11yrs
Failure to recruit is recruiting to fail.

While that’s a simple analogy, standing still in an ever changing rugby league competition will see things deteriorate quickly. Not sure hy we lose so many juniors coming through , but that needs to addressed immediately. If we don’t have the right people in place, then that’s on the board or whoever makes those decisions to acknowledge it and make change.

we have a very business like and experienced board, they now need to utilise that to improve personnel in important positions .

The fact McDuffy or whatever his name is says BA’s position has not even been considered because we won against Cowboys and Manly and it’s hard to play in Canberra and Moses is injured speaks volumes for why we are where we are.

we’re going nowhere fast until we have people running the club that care about on-field results

The fact McElduff says to the media that BA's position has not even been considered, doesn't mean it hasn't/isn't/won't be...

And the people running the club do care about on-field results.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

Reading that interview with Duffman Bea Arthur is a save as houses, the people on club have no idea and are in complete denial. Jagging Lomax is some sort of silver bullet apparently.

Why did Stefano demand to be paid more than he was worth before he had even played first grade and not decide to bide his time for a year or two and instead to go to the Tigers?
I assume you mean more than Parra thought he was worth. Tigers got him for $300K and it has been worth every cent and he is now starting to repay everyone of those dollars.

Every signing or letting go is an expression of priorities. Parra signed Matterson the year Tigers signed Stef.

It’s good to understand the different views on how the club operates. Having said that , if someone experienced is in charge of recruitment and the roster, it makes little sense to have so few backs under contract and again not a full complement. Sure, we may be waiting for development players etc, but we seem to move along different roster structure to most other clubs

If the coach has determined an incorrect pathway, there should be a conversation to move direction. That’s simple management 101.

Yes, I was speaking from a Parra perspective only.
