We have never won more then 5 weeks straight under BA without a bye in between even when we had better sides.

I don’t get why this is relevant. Wins in a season means far more, and for two sides with the same number of wins, the one with the longer winning streak is more likely to also have a longer losing streak.

If you’re comparing two sides with different numbers of wins then obviously the one with more wins is more likely to have the longer winning streak.

I don’t get why this is relevant.

Its relevance was in answer to a post about whether we can get a run together to win 10 from our final 15 games this year. Even in years when we had better teams/squads available, it's been hard to get even 5 wins in a row (In terms of getting on a winning run).

It just becomes so obvious (and depressing) that the good teams have wingers that absolutely belt the ball back from kicks and get good play the balls. They also push forward aside to hit it up. Watching To’o tonight with admiration.

Then when people leave they have people come into that role..

Only once in the NRL era has a team won the premiership not puting together at least 5 consecutive wins during the season....Broncos 2006.

Even the Tigpies won 8 straight games during their weak-as-piss 2005 premiership season.

So in essence, no team not coached by Wayne Bennett, has won the Premiership by not winning at least 5 consecutive games during the season.

The stats still demonstrate that unless you can win 5 consecutive games in a season, you only have a less than 4% chance of winning the competition....
