The kind of risk a conservative board wouldn’t take.I'm inclined to agree. He might come in and kill it (with a lot of technical help) but he would be a massive risk.

Dodging paternity tests left and rightHe had women chasing him. He had to up and leave
I said probability and randomness. Better teams have a better chance of winning. It's not a random draw of the 17 teams every year. Some have more chance than others. I don't think this is controversial. You are right - premierships are a result of random luck, much like spinning a chocolate wheel!
You'll note we performed better when we weren't cheating the cap, proving the club is stronger since the new board came in.It’s not fair to judge BA in 14, 15 or 16 because we had a team cheating the salary cap and we still didn’t win anything or even play finals footy. 17 is okay to include. But 18 we can’t because we came last. Everything from 19 is fine to judge him on except for last year because our poorly disciplined side got suspended too much. You also can’t judge him on this year because Moses got injured.
I would say stability started after the new governance structure was implemented. It certainly wasn't 11 years ago.I think the last 11 years of stability supersedes any “ruthlessness” the board may adopt now.
Do we really want a coach Souths and Redcliffe got rid of?I believe both Souths and Dolphins made the decision for him.
You've been advocating it would be OK to sack the current bloke for him...so he must be good.Do we really want a coach Souths and Redcliffe got rid of?
He just goes around in f**king circles. He must have a shithouse memory to be continually exposed. You've been advocating it would be OK to sack the current bloke for him...so he must be good.
Go easy on Joe Root, mateOnce I was at a bar about 10yrs ago and I seen this 18/19yld boy who looked like Ellen. Big smile on his dumb head. I felt like punching him in his stupid face.
Poor logic. Troll post. You'll note we performed better when we weren't cheating the cap, proving the club is stronger since the new board came in.
You would say that, because you frequently post circular bullshit for attention.I would say stability started after the new governance structure was implemented. It certainly wasn't 11 years ago.
I think it's accepted that ruthlessness has its benefits. it's just that certain types think it's all upside. There’s either going to be someone/s moved on from the playing group or we’re just go to have another go with an aging model that didn’t get over the line when it was younger. So maybe there’s a downside to not being ruthless
I didn't say that and you know it. Nobody has suggested he should be re-signed.f**k, you know what, Pou has convinced me. We need to give Arthur 5 more years.
Mate, the spiral had begun and quite a few could see it.mate, this time last year (Magic Round) when we spoke about BA, was 10 rounds after playing in the GF and even Hindy111 wanted to keep him.
I reckon an external coach coming in looks at an 11 year tenure, regardless of the various boards that may have been overseeing the organisation.I would say stability started after the new governance structure was implemented. It certainly wasn't 11 years ago.

ffsThat's not what he said though, is it. He said they are a result of 'probability and random luck'. And that's quite different. Unless you are talking about a consistently dominant team like Penrith over the last few years, he's right. The maths of the situation are not that difficult. If all teams were equally f**ked they'd have a chance of winning in each year of 6.25%. In reality the best team in the comp starts the year at odds between 2.5 to 1 and 4.5 to 1, implying a probability of winning in a given year of about 28% - 18%. Even if you have the best team and coach, there's a f**kload of stuff that can go wrong to stop you winning the lot. And for everyone else it just gets more random.
It will.Oh well, just unlucky, keep going with BA and one day it will work…just keep going all in with a pair of twos and one day our luck will turn
So by that you are saying to re-sign/extend him?It will.
That's an effort area. There are many of opportunities available from Dyl poking his nose through the line that we don’t take advantage of.
I wonder how much of that is due to lack of speed, coaching, ability, or something else.
