They lost 119 games with Smith FFS! What a f**king hack he was. They’d have probably lost by 60 in that grand final if he’d played.

It’s all well and good to point out we are missing our two most important players, if we were losing close ones you’d almost look the other way. We got belted by a reserve grade Dolphins side and now a Storm side also missing two of its most important players from the start, which progressed to three of them by half time… And it was only when they were down Munster did they make us look like a pub squad and put on an extra 32 points.
Its not BAs job to develop our younger players but his and I assume HOF job has been to create pathways to enable the younger players to develop. That has been a failure and also our ability to retain any decent juniors. Other clubs appear better at identifying our juniors and signing them from under our noses. That has to change and hopefully it will with BA (and hopefully HOF soon) gone.MON and BA have done a shit job at putting this squad together. BA has done a terrible job of developing our young players.
The floggings are what was most concerning. Can't score points at least defend like your life depends on it.I don't think the Dolphins result would have changed, but in other matches I suspect the rest of the team's 'belief' that the game is still live when down by 10 would be quite different with both Moses and Gutho in the side. And that makes quite a difference to players who aren't as sharp as they should be. And just having better executed kicking plays alone means your are a) in better field position and b) sometimes 4-6 points up on where we've been.
Great but too little too late. If we'd acted sooner Bennett may have come here, instead now we have Barrett for rest of year! Another failed coach despite Gould talking him up.BA Gone! Effective immediately.
Can we have a million likes please!
Eels sack coach Arthur, reveal secret Bennett pursuit
Brad Arthur’s tenure as Eels head coach is over following a poor start to the 2024 season – but Wayne Bennett won’t be replacing him at Parramatta.www.smh.com.au
Slater would be good, a real student of the game, but won't leave Melbourne, has a horse stable there which appears his first love, coaching second. Maroons job is good for him as consumes little time and pays well.Maroons job is temporary...he wants to coach 1st grade apparently
If you close your eyes and say Barrett quickly it almost sounds like Bennett.i think the barrett jokes are going to be a hit
Well apart from the incoherent rant about Andrew Davey.Yeah, apart from that shit accent, he's incredibly well spoken and shows a real in depth understanding of the game, well beyond the other talking heads .

I think regardless of when we did it we were always going to have Barrett do it for rest of year. I don’t think Bennett would’ve come across midseasonGreat but too little too late. The bald ages are over! This forum is going to need brand new jokes!
I happened to meet Willie Mason, who was on the bulldogs coaching staff, at about the time that was blowing up. What you said might be true but Willie also said Davey was being out-trained and out played.
Whatever the truth, I like that Graham speaks his mind, unlike other ex-players.

Even if Bennett signs you'd still have Barrett for the rest of the year.Great but too little too late. If we'd acted sooner Bennett may have come here, instead now we have Barrett for rest of year! Another failed coach despite Gould talking him up.

Barrett cant just rinse and repeat - if he wants to at least try for the top job (please no by the way) he needs to make proper changes and try to display a point of difference. My Grandmother rang me after the news came out she reckons BA biggest stuff up this year was not putting Sanders to 7 and leaving Drown at 6 the moment Moses went down injured in round 3. And just keeping that combination letting it develop.
Chopping and changing the halves every 2 weeks has been a disaster and hasn't helped Dylan's game either trying to build combinations with his fellow half.
Would it have changed anything i suppose we will never know and i don't think we would be in the 8 anyway.
It will be interesting who Barrett goes with if Moses is still out.
when Smith got punted and Taylor took over did we make the finals? Then JT was punted for Hagan But i dont think barrett will be our saviourOur results will likely improve dramatically pretty quickly once Moses and Gutho are back on deck.
Barrett has a real chance to impress pretty quickly.
If he's good enough, his chance with a decent playing group is there for the taking.
I suspect though he's had a considerable influence on the team and we've already seen he's not the man for the job.
