Yep good apprenticeship on the wing next year in the NRL with the option to go to fullback in 26.

It's very exciting and I feel there will be 5-7 signings...just a hunch

Based on this, I observe:

1. The Eels seem apprehensive to play kids from Ball and Flegg in open age footy. You only have to look at our garbage Cup backs in particular.
2. Merkins in here would be shitting their livers if a kid like this was not played in NRL after just a dozen games.


So we need to be brave enough to play them up, but then have patience before they play NRL.

On 2 most merkins have been saying Blaize should have been learning in CUP..

Penrith just don't need to rush their juniors.

McLean Brothers have played in CUP for a at least 10 games

Next year these guys should make up the NSW cup team: Renisini, Alameddine, McCarthy, Lynn, Twidle, Pryke, Tuivaiti, Lokeni all would still be Flegg eligible then you have guys like Parker, Brazel, AMS, Smith, Martin who are young but no longer eligible for Flegg and then those who don't make first grade. Give them as much exposure to reserve grade as possible.

To be fair, apart from injuries they have moved up the ladder with a chance to play finals footy after going 0 and 7 at the start of the season, promoting the winners from Ball has strengthened them .

Emulating the Penrith idea of keeping good sides together to build combinations In a winning team seems sensible. That’s not a word that has been used often in the past few years in the lower grades.

What’s Asi got to do with the previous coach? The current coach is still picking him in the team, and his previous coaches also gave him a run, including Payten and Nathan Brown. He was given his NRL debut by premiership winner Paul Green.

To be fair, we have played four blokes younger than Iongi in first grade this year. If they’re good enough, or the rest of the team is bad enough, we’ll give them a run.
