Not bagging Bradley in any way. But genuinely is he better than Lussick and Hands. And how do they differ? Does he have a running game ? We have lacked that out of dummy half for so many years under the baldy dope.
He is light years in front of Lussick and a lot better than hands. His defence and passing is very good compared to those two.

Lussick is hopeless so no point comparing him to anyone.
If we do keep hands on the bench I think he’ll be able to increase his running game against tired defence. Seemed like he was pacing himself to get through big minutes in games he was starting. Hands can cover 9/6/7. Just need an edge forward that can defend at 2 or 3 in and we’ll have good coverage for mid game injuries

Brailey, wouId be a great pickup. Obviously we need a better hooker, but also suspect his leadership qualities are also a big factor in our interest....

Brent Read suggesting this morning we are odds on to get Brailey settled next week as we have plenty of cap space and the club are very keen on him apparently.

He's also suggested we are in box seat for JAC but we have cooled a bit on him. Either way we’ll make a call either way next week.

Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on the outcome if we take on both those two?

I think JAC will definitely give us a bit of class but I just haven’t watched enough of Brailey to understand if he’s just another “OK” 9 or if he’d take us up a notch in class. I am aware he has historically had injury issues which makes me nervous.

Keen to hear thoughts…
Brailey will improve our defence, which is what we need. We already have plenty of strike in the spine.

JAC is a first grader at least, and will improve our kick chase. He is also safe in the air.

I don’t mind either signing as long as no longer than 2 year deals each as both have obvious risks associated. Brailey is just solid but we can do with that, Hands off the bench to spell him and maybe add a bit of speed around the ruck. As others have mentioned we could use his experience and leadership, this season especially.

I was initially off JAC and still don’t care either way but I do feel he has a point to prove this season. I think he is ready to rip and tear.

Both are injury prone however.

To me they are not if you are putting the markers in 2 minds because they know you have a running game then markers are engaged.
By stepping out towards the marker, drawing and passing, u r engaging the marker. You dont need to have a strong running game to do that. If the marker refuses to engage you just run and gain an easy 10m. No marker defence is going to allow a dummy half to jog up field at will. And if they do engage (likely) then you have taken out a defender for the guy ur passing to.

So yes you need a strong running game reading your reply...
