Dylan Brown is chasing a monster $1.2 million-a-season on the NRL’s open market as the Dolphins became one of five clubs to register interest in the Parramatta playmaker.
Brown is expected to begin formally meeting with rival clubs next week as he weighs up quitting the Eels.

The Kiwis Test star has an option in his eight-year Parramatta contract to depart the club at the end of this season.

With new coach Jason Ryles at the helm, the Eels are confident they will retain Brown on a deal believed to be worth in excess of $900,000-a-season.

However the 24-year-old is testing his value on the open market after receiving interest from the Warriors, Dragons, Knights and Dolphins. A rival Sydney club is also understood to be in the mix.

Brown is believed to be asking for up to $1.2 million-a-season to leave Parramatta – enormous money which would make him one of the NRL’s highest-paid players.

The Dolphins have cash to splash after missing out on the signature of Kangaroos star Ben Hunt, who opted for a return to the Brisbane Broncos after being released by the Dragons.

Whether the Dolphins would be willing to spend more than $1 million-a-year on Brown remains to be seen.

One can only wonder which club that might be.

lol he’s not worth 900k on what he has dished up the last two years, has half an ACL and been in trouble off the field.

If someone wants to blow their cap out on him good luck to them. He’s shown absolutely no loyalty to the club that has helped make him. Doubt JR will put up with this shit.

But Brad thought he was captaincy material.

He wouldn't even be in my leadership group

He's been third fiddle to moses and gutho his whole career.

He's a very good player, but he's a supporting cast player.

I don’t understand how his game management skills are so poor when he came through the grades as a halfback.

Well the writing was on the wall when Brad had to give Jake the keys whenever Moses was out and left Dylan at 6.

When in reality Dylan should have been the 7.

If that wasn't a sign he couldn't run a team i don't know what is.

I reckon the win at Brookvale Oval in 2022 was the only game he has stood up without Moses.

He’s one player plenty of us seem to be keen to see goes he goes under a new coaching set up.
Count me as one of them.
But as it stands, he was given responsibility to run the team when Mitch was injured last year and didn’t fill the void.

The audacity to be chasing 1.2m is hilarious, I’ve always thought he was a bit of an air head and this proves it.

I remember when joey said he pointed out to dylan aspects of Cody walkers game and dylan had no idea who Cody walker was.......

He's had 6 seasons in first grade to build his game, I dont see it.

Like I said, very good first grader but 1.2 is reserved for elite players.
