The Tigers should wait until they get an answer on Tedesco/Woods re-signing before creating cap space that might end up useless.

That depends on how long your willing to wait for an answer.
If the Eels decide that negotiations are off due to the Tigers playing hard ball, they may use the cap space to attract a much needed dummy half.

I really love Peni, but seeing him out for basically/probably the rest of the season, there's significant benefit in our halves gelling this season rather than next. That's at least worth a thought.

With that said, gee Peni is good value cap wise. Interesting at the very least.

If the tigers have already paid half his salary (or whatever) is there any way we can partly reimburse them for that or are they already stuck with that on their cap?

Definitely less appealing now. But still they'd have the ability to upgrade his deal this season, and then extend him into the future (and it would also rule out Parra trying to re-sign him)

There's no incentive for them to release him unless they can use the money to upgrade a player for this year that they wish to retain or purchase a player from elsewhere that they need now.

If his not available now which is annoying because I feel if it was any other team chasing Moses they would get him this season, I would be looking to bring in a hooker like Lichaa, his days are numbered at the Dogs and needs the change or Peats?, plus if any available forwards were around I would be looking at them also.

It won't. But it might convince them that they're no chance of playing finals footy and they'd be better off looking to strengthen next year's squad.

Kind of glad we didn't get Moses for this year..
The expectations on the Eels to win every game will be huge as well as the media spotlight.
It now gives us a full pre season for him to get a custom to the Eels style..

The tigers will be feeling it even more now Moses formally asked Ivan to be released he won't be in the greatest frame of mind now and the media is going to hang of every move now..
