Have you looked at our junior reps lately, kids from everywhere QLD, NZ, Country and other districts.
No need to continue with a narrative that was over the top to begin with.
Our junior reps teams are no longer the issue, it’s who the heck signs and extends the NRL currently.

Also who develops them and what they feel they need from our juniors...

maybe you should ask Nathan Brown who told the board that no one can do a better job than the blokes that were already there ( the same blokes who guided the development of the GF winning SG Ball side ) got the job to supposedly fix it up but decided to leave for the Gold Coast a year later.

Makes you wonder doesn't it...

well ironically he's not as fast as Lorenzo who isn't quick at all but there's probably more upside than Lorenzo.
Hes no world beater but he puts in and in my opinion when Russell and Sivo were stinking up the place, Zac was worth a try. Anyway hopefully effort gets greater reward moving forward and a new bunch of speedsters arrive.

hopefully with Martin coming back soon and Moey Alemedine starting his reggies career on the weekend would mean that we won't need to look at third tier players as options in the future.

Martin looked a real prospect. Definitely has some wheels. Would be the fastes in the club Im sure.

Next year should see Miller-Stephen, Rich Penisini, and Alameddine as Flegg eligible cup players. And then have Russell and Martin as young Cup players. Still need to sign more first grade standard backs but that likely won't happen unless we're able to get rid of an expensive forward.

Perhaps the first thing that needs to be done is a complete reset in recruitment, as far as overall the club has now worked out what to do in levels below Cup. De Gois, Rankin and others have scouted and signed that level well. NRL not so much if at all.

Development and contracts for those players coming through is the key, that the club was screwed with no depth is shown when the Cup team fell apart after losing their only competent back in Harper. No one apart from Emu was there to lead and backline structure imploded with no cover for Harper. Option city in extensions don’t seem to be working, but the smartest guys in the room seems to think they are good ( inc Pou, MON and possibly Gronk :) )

In terms of backline, I’d say it’s Gutho, maybe Sivo or even Penisini (I think he’ll bounce back) we’d have to move on, in order to get improvement. Moving forwards on overs to sign a back where then there’ll be someone else on overs (I.e. signing another winger while Sivo is still contracted) is just shifting the problem.
Russell is fine as first drop (I think it’d help motivate him as well, or won’t and f**k him then)
