TBF, a player pictured with 'white powder' v a player proven to have been driving under the influence of drugs are 2 very different things. Surprised you seem to be defending this. Sometimes players make it so easy for clubs to sack them.
No, you're entirely missing the point. Reece Walsh could kill a dozen kittens and the Broncos would not sack him. Eza anyone ?

The kid Sandon Smith from the Roosters is potentially facing jail, yet they kept it from the papers from March until only recently.

Clubs throw players under the bus when its convenient to their cap. My comments has zero to do with specifics about JAC and his driving matter.

Fair enough, But JAC had other misdemeanors (punching on at an unsanctioned knockout comp in the off season) and we still don't know what will happen with Ezra.

What part do you mean if I say so? I’d argue it’s pretty irrefutable that rookie coaches don’t do what he’s already done with our roster. Credit to him. He’s doing it his way and it’s sink or swim.

Your whole optimistic slant. Yeah sure he is doing it his way, but he hardly has any real runs on the board being a rookie coach and all and he is losing a hell of a lot of quality and invaluable experience and replacing then with unproven rookies who are hardly the next big thing in the junior world, so that alone tells me he is taking a massive risk and hoping(believing in his own ability) that higher fitness standards and a different(better) attitude and mindset will lead us in the right direction.

Of course these are all great traits and strategies if he has indeed the talent to pull them off, but I have been around to long and seen way to many failures in all forms, shapes and sizes and I find this very risky when you are losing so much talent and experience all at once and then replacing them with unproven rookies.

Now if Iongi does indeed measure up as a genuine and consistently good NRL standard fullback(defensively as well as with the ball in hand) and Lomax continues on as he has played this season and not regress back to his hot and cold self, and we can keep most of the squad on the park and injury free, especially Moses, and somehow not be to weak up front in our forward rotation, then sure if he indeed does get us fitter then ever before under Potates and he improves our attitude, especially in defence, then sure we may end up in the 8.

But look at all the things that need to go right for us to have a shot at making the 8. Would I have done what he has? I don't know. He might be seeing something we from the outside can't and feels that he needs to make these major changes to get the place right. I am not saying he is wrong, I just hope Iongi does step up or else losing Gutho could really come back to bite us.

But like I said, I have seen to many rookies come in and fail versus succeed. I hope he is in the success category. We won't know for at least 2 seasons though and what he can do in attracting quality and his strength of character to get his own way in regards to junior pathways and pissing off the Ponsni of the West sooner rather then later.

What will be a huge indicator for me is our attitude in defence. If we show a genuine enthusiasm and hunger in the way we as a unit defend (extra fitness will help of course in this regard) then he will have achieved something that the last few coaches haven't been able to and we may actually be moving in the right direction at long last. That for mine is the priority of what has to change on the field more so then anything else. If he can't get the players to buy in to a new and more tenaciously aggressive defensive attitude then he will never succeed as a coach. That is his main task for right now. All else is secondary. That should be his line in the sand. If you can't aim up defensively you don't get to play NRL. Full stop.

Sure and Latrell Mitchell should have been booted form NRL yonks ago, but he's too f**king good.

As a driving offence JAC is facing $682 fine and a three-month driving suspension without the need to go to court.

No I am not rooting for him. I am just saying that from a society perspective POV, it is low tier.

TBF to the Dogs, they have HEAPED the pressure on Broncos with their handled sacking saying it doesn't live up to the standards of a player etc. Ezra Mam HAS to be sacked surely.
Won't be because Broncos are worried some other club will snap him up.

Says a lot about there culture.

They have had about 10 line in the sand moments when it comes to off-field incidents in the past 4 years.

Badel and friends have been pushing the non sacking line in the Courier Fail since the beginning, he's young, he's remorseful, he's seeking treatment blah blah blah!!

What a load of shit he needs to sacked and be out of the game for a minimum of 12 months. Anything less is a disgrace.

2 years. There needs to be real consequences for these actions.
Compare the severity of what he's done to someone like Dylbags or Mitchell Pearce (some may argue they should've got longer). He should get much longer than they did.

The first time we lose and Gutherson has a good game for the Dragons it'll be all MON's fault for letting him go. By round 12 Ryles will be on the shit list as well. The Broncos will be in the top four and wE sHoUlD'vE gOtTeN f**KeN mAdGe FfS!!1!
Madge showing a bit of tough love also getting rid of Langer and quietening the old boys who should have NO influence over the team. However his hard stance will eventually cause friction with the prima donnas there. May work at the beginning but eventually (hopefully) it'll all fall apart. Bring on another wooden spoon.

Players can cop a two year suspension for taking performance enhancing drugs (and rightly so).
Mam almost killed someone through his stupidity. I'd be ok if he wasn't allowed to play ever again. Of course that won't happen, but just saying I'd be ok with it.

Vunivalu - I would normally say no chance because we are Parra, but the way Ryles is going about his business and the Melbourne connection gives me genuine hope.

how good would it be to secure a group like Vunivalu for next year and the likes of Mozer, Leo Thompson and Savage/Stonestreet in 2026 (after some careful loading on existing players with Gutho's money for next year as Pou rightly identifies)
I like that group of players which we could afford now except Vunivalu, he must be about 50 now isn't he? That group would certainly open a premiership window.

I’d be wrapped with JAC. They offered him to everyone via his manager and he got no interest. Hence why Dogs want to sack him as they preferred to let him go freely. So maybe his options are extremely limited.
Interesting that 3 good players were sacked/released on 29 Oct - Gutho, JAC and Hunt - none of their salary goes into this years cap..

Vunivalu is actually 28 , so doesn’t need Guthos zither frame , would be a decent signing if our gun R&R duo find a way to utilise the cap efficiently. Given all the options and upgrades , will be interesting the actual cap number available .

Considering he's been playing Yawnion for 3 years it's not like he's been overworked.
