Brailey to Parra which will free up cap space for Matt Lodge to go to Newcastle whose father in law is Peter O'Sullivan the new recruitment officer.

Matt Lodge has confirmed he has quit Manly but the former Broncos enforcer insists his NRL career is not over.
The controversial prop is adamant he will not be forced into early retirement and will definitely be playing in the NRL next season.

Lodge was hoping to stay at the Sea Eagles next season, but the parties were unable to agree terms after Manly tabled a two-year deal worth around $150,000 a season.

Lodge has played for five NRL clubs since his debut for Wests Tigers in 2014 and is poised to ink a deal with his sixth team.

Lodge refused to disclose the identity of the club – he has been linked with the Dragons – but insists he will not be moving to the English Super League.

“I will definitely be playing in the NRL next year,” he said.

“It’s good to know I will have my future sorted.

“I had a tough start to the year but when I got healthy, I finished the year well with Manly.

“If I didn’t know I had plenty left in the tank, I wouldn’t be playing on, but I’m excited about the years ahead and I will be ready to go next year.”

The 29-year-old prop accepts the Sea Eagles have salary-cap pressures and has no issue with Manly coach Anthony Seibold.

“They offered me a two-year deal,” he said.

“They wanted me to play that starting role with Taniela (Paseka), but it takes a toll on your body doing that.

“It was a lot to ask to do two years as a starting front-rower for minimum wage.

“I really thought about it, I wanted to meet them in the middle somewhere, but they had no salary cap space.

“I am fine with ‘Seibs’ and everyone at Manly, but I can’t play for that amount when that sort of money is given to a kid just coming out of a school who hasn’t played a game of NRL.

“I loved the club and the squad of players, but I have four boys and bills to pay, so I had to look after my future.”

Surely son Sean needs a contract to

If Ryle does choose Lomax at centre, who ends up with who?

Lomax and JAC together could be insane but initial thoughts would be to have Penisini learn off the talk, backslaps and defensive attitude near JAC and Simonsen could be strengthened by Lomax the other side.

Thoughts?
Lomax has to be right. He was f**ken attrocious for the DragQueens at left centre.

He's either right wing or right centre. Simonsson to play right wing or left centre.

Addo-Carr is a great signing. The guy is one of the best wingers in the game and speed to burn. I couldn't care less about his di*khead character. His laugh is more annoying to me because I have to hear it, but I don't hang out with him so who gives a toss about his di*kheadness?
I sort of agree. But I have two words for you Rammy. 'Anthony' and 'Watts'. Discuss.

Brent Read’s recent article has confirmed the Foxx has come at “a very cut price deal for 2 years” and will prove himself for a bigger deal later.

Whoever was claiming it’s “typical of us” to pay too much can relax.
Well Brent Read is speculating as much as any of the rest of us. Unless Addo-Carr's manager has sent him a copy of the contract showing the actual figures then it's just as feasible we gave him what he was on at the Dogs and who knows, maybe a bump on top... (not that kind of bump ffs). I mean, he hasn't even been confirmed as signed so talking about amounts is moot.

We can't have it both ways and put shit on media reports when we feel they are inflating our player's contract amounts but then turn around and point to the same media merkins when they post figures we deem favourable and take their word as gospel...

Well it’s quite literally the opposite of what you’re saying but yeah, take it as you want.

There are articles that also suggests we won a bidding war too....

My suggestion of it being a typical Parramatta signing is not for how much we signed him for anyway.... time will tell if its a good move.

Glad people are happy.....

This time last year we were hauling Morgan “f**king” Harper off a plane from England because he was the type of defensive player we like.

The year before we bet the farm on a bald plodder from England with no knee Cartilage and signed one of the worst Eels ever Mummamoasia to a multi year deal.

This is after caving and giving overpriced big deal contracts to a host of Eels senior players who played it all out in the media and were close to the previous coach. Maybe calm the farm a touch the new bloke has barely got his feet under the desk.

Like you do??? Don't make me laugh..... You have questioned every decision the club has made for five or six years maybe longer.

You've whinged continuously if someone even farted the wrong smell....

Now you have the audacity to tell someone to calm the farm. f**k right off...

Sure we can.
