ffs merkin are you my alt?!?

Yes Arthur needed to go, in the end, but merkins had been making that claim since 2018. They were wrong then but they were right this year. The only definitive proof he needed to go was the fact the club sacked him.
Hell no!
As for definitive proof of that fact, I disagree…
We regressed after the GF but his consistent failure to address our poor defense was enough proof. I don’t think we needed the club to sack him to see that.
I’m hoping Ryles can do better.

If 'addressing poor defence' was that simple, everyone would be doing it. We had top four defence in 2020 and 2021. Was it a brief period of good coaching or good luck? Was it a matter of being able to fit a strong defensive roster under the salary cap in a very competitive market? Was that good recruiting or just good luck? How much of it is really down to coaching?

Ridiculous comment about the spoon, nor is there any faction.

still fighting political battles.

the simple fact is that Ryles has been proactive and I think he has started his tenure well - and he has shown the limitations in BAs approach, which in my opinion shows BA should have been let go at the end of either 2018, 2020 or 2023 and someone else would have done better things with this squad
A ridiculous statement from someone who has proven time and time again they lack an actual clue on RL with a number of different topics within the game let alone Parramatta.

Is there any proof of posts where you and posters were cheering us home for the spoon other then @Tiger5150.

I dont believe for one second one fan on here wanted us to actually win the spoon.

Some may have accepted it was going happen and were thanking bumbling Brad for another deadshit embarrassing season.

I noticed in the fumbleball the Sydney Swans pulled the pin on there coach during the week after a GF loss just goes to show you don't have to miss the finals to justify moving a coach on as some keep pointing out on here.

We have been Stale, stagnant for a long time and I always think the moment you don't believe your coach is going to be the man to deliver a premiership cut the chord and move on.

TBH I’m not sure why NRL fans have the upsets with union right now. I think PVL stirs them up and they take the bait.
Its an eyesore of a sport that needs to be killed off.

The same sport that cuddled up with goverments to outlaw Rugby League and made it a pariah in countries like France back in the 1940s.

Just another reason to hate the French actually what Rugby did to League in that country was a downright disgrace.

Rugby league shits on it from every angle.

Throw in the muppets from that game that use any opportunity to talk down Rugby League to stay relevant its the ugly cousin of rugby league that you love to see fail.

Yawnion has been trying to kill RL since 1908, why would us real RL supporting not be pissed off with that abortion of a game??

They sign one overrated RL player and they were already carrying on like they had won the war. PVL could bury their shitty little sport in this country if he wanted.

I don’t know how much is down to coaching (if you mean that in a tactical sense) but evidently some/a significant degree is down to the coach since the coach picks his assistants, the style he wants to play, season planning and has say in recruitment and retention. All those things add up, defensive results being one important outcome.
BA was probably too attached to certain players, staff and his preferences of how the team should play.
Ryles has shown with motivation and some sort of specific intent it’s possible to move players on, attract different staff and players with a view to playing a different style.
That style, the tactics, and the results aren’t in yet but it’s very exciting!!

Perth Bears comes in basically will help kill off the Western Force

I would then hope PVL brings in the South Island side in NZ as the 20th team to further push rugby league over across the ditch to get that NZ talent flowing through even more.

Its clear the Warriors are now the biggest ticket in town in NZ over Rugby what was it 12 sellouts at Mt Smart.

And all the kiwi expats that have moved over to Australia just jump on the rugby league bandwagon anyway and have done so for 20 years.

The kiwis i know are more pumped when State of Origin is on these days then whenever the All-blacks play the dullabies.

Signing Wendell 20 yrs ago didn’t do it for them and neither is this kid.
In a parallel universe it would have been interesting to see what might have been if they signed Andrew Johns.

Every statement has implications for other statements. That’s how logic works.

Which is why when I say you can’t judge the club’s decisions without having all the information they’re using to decide, I get “So you’re saying no matter what, the club did the right thing?”

The key takeaway by my detractors is that I’m defending the club, no matter what. The assumption is that I believe all their decisions are great. That’s an incorrect assumption, but a reasonable one for a bunch of frustrated dopes who want someone to blame for every loss. Which is why I get variations of “So you’re saying…” and another valued opportunity to clarify my position and restate my opinions.
Cool story bro.....

I dont think that hard about Parra. You were simply putting words in Twizzles mouth in a non consensual manner. no need to overthink it.

Joey was a freak still the best player i have seen in my life.

I get why there is still conjecture on his immortal status when it comes to his off-field BS.

But on-field he was incredible he had the ball on a dime with his kicks weather it was a punt, banana, grubber, 40/20.

Passing game was no different.

Goal kicking and FG clutch kicking was incredible.

And he was an awesome defender which is often not stated enough. He could tackle and you rarely saw him get trampled over by bigger blokes.
