I agree especially as the poor tigers have got the hardest draw for each of the past 3 years.

They have had to play every team that finishes above them 24 times a season.

Well you have plenty to say about my posting habits so you should have noticed I post in spurts here. Those correspond to when I have an hour or two to myself. Surely you understand spurting during me time.

I only watch our games closely and if put ill watch a replay. I'll tune into Penrith games LIVE if im free and also have it on if I am home for other games amd nothing to do but I won't be glued to TV unless it's a good game. I'd never watch a replay of any games bar ours

Yep, if I already know the score, watching replayed games is very difficult to get enthused about. And I'd rather track the score live than pretend it hasn't already been played and watch the replay later without knowing the score.

I think the roster has great synergies. A bunch of forwards that defend well, outside backs that do all the hit ups, and the odd strike player for creating line breaks. Plus Yeo and Cleary, two of the best players in the world.

It's very interesting how some people from opinions on players.

One of my mates, a die-hard Eels fan, was probably Paul Gallen's biggest fan - he would go on, and on, about how he is Hindy Mk II, and how he wishes he was still an Eel.

My mate would constantly praise his stats - which, admittedly, looked good on paper.

One day I simply asked him outright if he had even watched his games.

My mate said that he hadn't, but stats are stats, and that 40 tackles, and 200m run, speaks for itself.

So I took a look at Gal's stats for the month - and, indeed, he was making 40 tackles a match, and running for 200m a game.

However, his 200m would usually come from more than 20 hitups.

So, I started watching his games.

And while I don't think anyone can doubt Gal's workrate, or his heart, I think it's fair to say that he got in the way of his teammates quite often, and "padded" his stats a bit.

I still think he was a great player, but it's interesting to see how people judge him from watching him play, as opposed to just reading his stats.

I watched him play and thought he was like Hindmarsh except he also hurt merkins with and without the ball. Gallen was f**king awesome. Yes he was a hog but that happens when a bloke has so much will to win. I'm sure he owes everything to the Canberra Milk, but you can't argue with the results.

Of course the stats line up ya merkin no one is confused by the stats but we all understand the stats don't tell the whole story.

They don't but unlike the 'eye test' they are at least objective.
