Yep this is accurate! Do stats tell you when a player misses his mark in defence or gives up closing a hole?
If a player is out of position in defence it will cause him to miss more tackles or attempt fewer per minute. Those are all stats.
Does it tell you how a player chases a kick puts pressure on a kicker ?

All those 1%ers that can mean so much. But yeah tackles made
And yet the best effort players all have the best stats.

Do you think he will have an impact on all those of think he will be big for us in only certain circumstances
I feel he's an unknown quantity. We know he was outstanding in reserve grade, and at a fairly young age (he is four months younger than Ryley Smith). So he could come straight into first grade and kill it, or he could struggle with the physicality for the first year or two. I'm very excited about seeing him run around. It's very exciting.

I forgot that the first grade coach shouldn't worry about developing players skills for first grade 👍
They develop their skills in training. That's what training is for.
Probably why the first grade coach is now gone and hands is back to playing hooker 🤔
Arthur never picked Hands in the halves in first grade unless there was an injury. And then it was a good thing he also trained in the halves. Every one of Hands' starts under Arthur was at hooker. Arthur also never picked his son.

But you think he was sacked for allowing Cayless to pick Hands in the halves once last year? In 2023 Hands played in the halves four times in reserve grade. It had nothing to do with Matt Arthur who was in SG Ball. And it didn't stop Arthur picking Hands at hooker, because he's a utility.

No, the team is responsible for the team's results. If it was just the coach, it wouldn't matter what their team was like. Good coaches would never miss the finals.

The teams that consistently go deep into the finals are the ones with the best players. If they don't have the best players it doesn't matter how good their coach is. Luck is more of a factor on game day than coaching. Or did Brad Arthur suddenly become the second best coach in 2022?
Who gets sacked if the team goes poorly? The coach or the team?
Parramatta, Brisbane and Souths all lost their coaches within 2 seasons of making the grand final.

Well the club can't sack the whole team can they? Most of them are still on contract. But you'll notice three of our senior players were f**ked off as well. The club has to be seen to be doing something.

The blokes who would die for BA?
The ones who were on massive salaries?
The ones who were vocal advocates and nearly won us the spoon.
Obviously the stats proved the real story

So many players underperformed last year. Why were they so poor all of a sudden? We will never know, but the club appears to have attributed it to leadership. That's why the captain and the coach are gone. Curiously, MON said Ryles was impressed with the work ethic in the squad and praised Brad Arthur for it. It was a weird thing to say because the eye test showed a lack of effort. It's why public statements by club officials are generally worthless.

So far you have said the following:

- Public statements are worthless.
- Private information is bullshit or it would be said in the public domain
- what people see on the field is meaningless
- coaches are responsible for almost nothing that happens at a club
- but only coaches have enough information to really know what’s going on and
- anything BA did was right and justified by the mere fact that he did it

You really change your bullshit positions with the wind to suit whatever circular tack you want to take at the time
