This is what's happened.

Parra management we want to get rid of these POs and sort a new contract.
We will give a 5yr deal at same amount.
Dylan's manager = NO THANKS

Parra = Well it's hard for us to plan with no commitments and we stood by Dylan during the whole saga last year. What are your suggestions

Dylan's manager = We are officially open to talk to other clubs and we will and get back to you once we see other offers.

I know he injured it against the Tigpies but I'm not seeing much on how far down the road his recovery has progressed. Round 10 is going to be epic.

Id have to look thru who is on the market. This year wasn't so great or high end players but a year is a long time in NRL.

Don't forget Drown's money would be available from 2026. There's still plenty of players unsigned for next year (FFS MON counterparts!!!) and we don't need to spend all of Drown's cap space on a player at the same position. We could get a less expensive first grader to replace him and spend the difference improving edge forward and/or hooker.

I recall one of BAs last masterstroke decisions at this club was to give Dylan the captaincy for 3 games when Gutho was out.

I thought it was a horrible look at the time less then 12 months after the assault charge that he was given the captains arm band when he hadn't showed much leadership well that decison is even looking even worse now.
