Not sure many would agree with your comment re Blaize, he’s not even in the same post code as Laui, he’s not as quick across the ground, has nothing in the passing game and defends much worse.He is a hole runner and will need an enormous amount of work to be close to Luai and what he offered particularly when Cleary was out.

I didn't mean he is as good as Lui but he will do a job like him off the cuff running ect.

I doubt he will fill in at half if Cleary is ever injured that's where Cole and Schneider come in

He’s a really good kid so hope he improves, can’t see him being a solid piece at this stage in a very well drilled Panthers side.

He has also missed a large chunk of the preseason with shoulder surgery. I don't think even Cleary can have him ready for first grade in time but will tell.

Agree but he is training with the team already after surgery which has me shocked.

Its not like they are short of halves either

What I liked about Blaize was his ability to either create chances and set up his outside man, as well as his ability to turn half chances in to points. That was something we have missed for a number of years. Defensively he has a heap to work on obviously and I don't know that he'll be a well rounded starting NRL five eighth for a while yet but I'm with @hindy111 and a couple of others in that I'm a bit of a fan of the youngster. I'm interested to see how he develops.

Wasn't he the Aus Schoolboy halfback? Played in halves with Galvin coming through and was moved to centre for us due to Sanders and Lynn.

From the players I know in the junior reps, the Panfers played no more up in age than any other club. May not mean much but dont think there’s any need to make excuses , just represents the standards coming though and mostly it’s cyclical as younger age group are mostly made up of local league boys and it happens.

I did a comparison of the two Flegg sides last year and we had more underage players than they did.
