He we had a chance to sack him when he was charged and plead guilty. But what we do ? give him top money and ten year Deal with options all in his favour.

This post makes some sense.

Brown f**ks up almost goes to Jail misses half a season of footy then somehow get a new deal at a good price with a player option...

No no no it should have been Brown here is 800k for 5 years Club Option after 3..

Wasn't the deal for him done prior to the indiscretion?
Look what he did was terrible and this happens every fri and sat night.
Blokes have told me there are players from city clubs who get away with so much at these establishments. They are stunned but not surprised there is no action

Dylan Brown offered to Rugby Australia as possible Wallaby for 2027 World Cup via email from agent
In the latest bombshell contract development involving Dylan Brown, it’s been revealed that the Eels star was offered not only to NRL clubs, but also to Rugby Australia as a possible Wallaby for the 2027 World Cup.

Parramatta Eels star Dylan Brown has been offered to Rugby Australia as a possible Wallaby five-eighth for the 2027 World Cup in his latest bombshell contract development.
This masthead can reveal veteran player agent Chris Orr not only emailed 16 NRL clubs last week to offer Brown’s services, but also Rugby Australia.
It is intriguing in that Brown is a Kiwi, who could play for the All Blacks, although it didn’t stop Rugby Australia from chasing another Kiwi NRL star, Storm forward Nelson Asofa Solomona, in 2024.
Brown moved from Auckland to Sydney as a 15-year-old to enter Parramatta’s junior league rep teams.
Rugby Union sources have confirmed the email from Orr arrived on Wednesday.
However one rugby insider said it was met with a lukewarm response: “There is little or no interest from our end.”

The circus around Brown’s future has become a huge frustration for Parramatta fans.
Inexplicably the Eels management allowed Brown two get-out clauses in his NRL contract which permit him to leave at the end of this year or in 2028.
It has become a huge distraction for the club on the eve of the premiership.
Orr’s email to Parramatta’s premiership rivals caused an outrage last week when it was leaked to media organisations within minutes of the agent hitting the send button.
Eels head of football Mark O’Neill insists: “Dylan is happy at the club, he has been here since he was 16 and we have put a lot of time into Dylan during his career and we are confident he is going to stay and have a great season.”
Then why is his manager so proactively and publicly shopping him around – and not just to NRL franchises?

He is 24 and already on almost $1 million a year.
It is hugely concerning that Brown won’t commit long term.
If he loves Parramatta and has confidence in their future, why can’t he say to his manager: “Stop shopping me around – I’m happy here.”
The Eels roster management has been astonishingly poor.
What other professional sporting organisation would allow contract escapes for their two best players.
They face the same situation with Origin and Kangaroos halfback Mitchell Moses at the end of the season in regards to another contract escape clause.
His future in the NRL will be the subject of speculation throughout the season.
There has already been talk of the Sydney Roosters making a multimillion-dollar move.
Whether the roster instability affects new coach Jason Ryles and his hopes of lifting the Eels into finals contention remains to be seen.

id imagine the ARU would be looking for a player with a higher profile, like a munster or a walsh, if they're going to lay out some big dollars for a league player.

I think the "Wallaby" thing is a bit misguided .... offering to Rugby Australia would be an attempt to get him to the australian Super Rugby (or whatever they call it these days) franchises ..... RA foots the bill for high profile salaries for NSW/Qld/Brumbies/[insert other failed rugby union franchise name]
