My point is that he has done this for a grand total of one season, in his mid-20s. You put shit on Klemmer, but when he was May's age, he had already played half a dozen Origins.

please point to a post where I put shit on Klemmer.

FWIW Klemmer has been our most valuable middle the last two years reliably spitting out metres and tackles like a professional. Fact is his costs us big money (more than May & Hunt) and is 32. Its what the good clubs do. How is Junior going?

I would define consistency as a quality that can’t be defined by number of games played in a single season, and certainly not by average metres per game. The latter stat is just the mean value of all games. It says nothing about the highest or lowest output in a single game.

Highest defensive workrate? Defensive efficiency? Best dressed? Nicest words in a podcast? How do you define most consistent?

Are you saying that Stats dont always tell the full story? That stats dont always trump what the eye sees?
What the eye sees doesn't tell the full story either, and unlike stats, the eye test is completely subjective. At least with stats we are speaking the same language. Then those who speak it better can show the others which stats are relevant and which ones aren't.

Tom Bradys stats aren't amazing but his superbowl wins are. Reason is he produces in big moments. He is clutch. See stats don't show the situation. Scoring a try when the other sides up by 40 means nothing.

Did you not even do a cursory search?

Terrell May 739 tackles at 97.75%
Lindsay Collins 559 tackles at 92.3%

Yes the dude was the most consistent middle Roosters had. Most metres, highest defense rate, most minutes........Is it the coach or the players fault that they have no good middles?
They had loads of good middles and were able to spread the load very well. That's why losing a couple wasn't going to hurt them. They still have all these:

Butcher
Collins
Leniu
Radley
Watson
White
Wong

At full strength these seven are all jostling for minutes as middle forwards. Add Terrell May to the team and they are probably overinvested in that position.

Stats are misleading . I have always thought our pack this entire decade has been over rated. the forwards have never been able to get us off our line and our dominant field position had been from kick returns from players like fergo at the beginning of the decade and more importantly kicks from Moses and opposition teams giving us penalties to get out of our half. That’s why I’m glad ryles us trying a roster overhaul.

but in reality I believe our pack is still crap , noticed tigers and knights game how penalties down our end helped us gain field position

He just had his worst year since he left Canberra and still put out more metres than Terrell May, and therefore more than any forward at the Roosters, apparently.

I never said I stopped. So in the absence of evidence either way, whether you claimed I bashed her or you claimed I didn't, you would be doing so without evidence.
At least you got it so kudos to you and "how dare you" to everyone else.

I have no evidence that you bash your wife, I dont think you bash you wife, so in the absence of evidence, I assume you dont bash your wife, where as you and others in the case of Terrell May assume that hat he metaphorically did.

Do you see the difference?

I would say a player who's had more than one good season. Especially a bloke who is almost 26.
The point and the question is not whether May had a good season, it is that in the context of JWH leaving, and effectively forcing your most consistent (in the most recent season) prop out of the club, whether it can be anyone other than the coach's fault that they have ineffective middles.

Wow, tell me now who needs a holiday.
To be fair, he wasn't accusing me of bashing my missus, he was trying to illustrate his point with a rhetorical argument that doesn't actually apply to the point he was trying to make. He isn't making a false accusation, just a false equivalence.

The Panthers' forwards never get them off their line. They barely carry the ball in their own half.

Kinda why I said our most valuable....no?

How old is Klem? How much is he costing next year? How many games in 1st grade does he need to trigger MO?

So who was Roosters most consistent middle?

Weasel words with "middle". There are two NRL standard props in that list. Roosters are in trouble in the middle and it is entirely the coach's fault, which is the point of the discussion.

No I assume the Roosters think May's 2024 form might be a flash in the pan, and his contract represents a risk they don't need to take. His own comments about his commitment to rugby league support this, along with his very mediocre career thus far.
