360 live in Vegas started with an interesting take, Anasta a player manger talking up that Dylbro should leave the Eels and take up the Newcastle offer. Conflict of interestmuch with Anasta able to talk about players.

They did say that Parra believe he is on a good contract and won’t change their offer or term, Chamas said that is the correct decision, overpaying a non controlling half is not good management, Anasta disagreed as expected .
Wouldn't be a show if they agreed on everything.

I think they just disagree for the sake of it.

Braith is an overrated hack anyway

I agree as much as it would suck, if another team offered him number 1 elite half money. Then you have to do the unfortunate thing of letting him go.
Fair enough, still don’t think it’s anything but double standards to have a player manager on a rugby league dominated programme voicing opinions on player contracts . He’s be titled to an opinion but it’s similar to thoughts on Gus and the way he manipulates the media.

Anasta managers Munster and his last contact was all through the media.

Anasta should not be allowed to be in the media as well as a player manager

delete if its been posted but interesting insight into blaize , his injury n this comment " “I think the issue was that he had a shoulder reconstruction in the off-season so he wasn’t with the team all the time on the park but I don’t think he is advanced as maybe they thought he would be in terms of his football knowledge and football nous,” Read explained."

maybe long term buyers remorse

The shit clubs will circle around good players. He has been on the market for months and not just us want to get sorted for 2026. You can bitch and moan about options but this would be happening if he had an option or a vanilla contract end to 2025.

Some will say it's the salary cap working, but it is shit for any club to nurture a kid from 14, only to lose him for an Alan Bond contract 10 years later. Sad that there is no development concessions on the cap.

BTW, don't listen to the BS that some are spinning that if he exercises his PO for the next tranche of his contract, he is giving up $6m. Our base contract price might be static, but if he keeps his nose clean he might get 3rd party cash at the eels (technically, isn't that his manager's job?). Also his next contract could be worth $1.6m per year if he backs himself and becomes the best in the biz.

Well thats not going to shock many people on here.

Its basically common knowledge we have been under-coached for a long time with a team that lacked decent Footy IQ.

And that Blaize's football knowledge and football nous wasnt advanced as what Penrith thought.

Its also show why a lot of our juniors coming through in the past looking completely out of the depth the moment they hit first grade especially when compared to other sides.

We didnt develop talent properly from the Harold matts through to FG.

What is part of the problem is that the club stated that both players had signed long term contracts and were committed to the club for 5 and 8 years respectively. No mention of options and now we are seeing the result of poor negotiations from the R&R team, hearing that Isaac Moses is more friendly with the current coach than he was previously. See how that plays out, but don’t spruik a long term commitment if it’s got out clauses.

He is still 19 FFS.

He was captain and played 6 in Harrold Matts in 2022.

Then he had a collapsed lung and had to have a serious operation (remember his Dad's tears in the jersey presentation ?). He missed 3/4 of the 2023 S G Ball comp and came back as a centre, behind (1) Twiddle (6) Sanders (7) Lynn.

When he got better, he played 6 in Flegg in 2023 from Round 21 2023.

He has played in every Rep team ever selected.

In 2024 He started Round 1 as fullback in NSW Cup as cover for the aging Gutho ~ X-factor.

Lucky for him that Penrith had an opening at 6 and he took that over being our #1. Not buying much of your story but. Who else is ready for NRL at 19 who is not a GOAT ? He signed at Pennys to be part of the system and now we are the reason why he has been overlooked for 6 ?

Mate, I just don't think that is true.

From the Parra press release when Dylan re-signed in December 2022:
The Parramatta Eels are delighted to announce Dylan Brown has agreed to a multi-year extension to remain at the Club until at least the end of 2025 with an option to remain an Eel until 2031.

^^ Source to follow verry soon

The Parramatta Eels are thrilled to announce that captain Mitch Moses has re-signed until the end of 2029, which will mark his 13th season in the Blue and Gold.

Since joining the Eels in 2017, Moses has been a key figure, consistently demonstrating leadership, great performances and commitment to the Club.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Mitch has been in consistently good form for many years now but none better than 2024. The way he performed in Origin last year was outstanding and proved that he belongs in that arena.

“Being recently appointed captain continues the evolution of his development and is a very proud moment for him, his family and our club.

“Having a player of Mitch’s calibre commit the rest of his career to the Eels is fantastic news for his teammates, our partners, members and the entire Eels community,” added O’Neill.
