Under Ryles they are happy to remove them.
Not a fact either. For one, they didn't remove anything. They negotiated and signed a new contract. That's the fact we know.
You don't know that. It could be that there wasn't a new contract negotiated, but rather the terms of the existing were amended and ratified.

Chill out.

What they are saying at face value is what has happened with Mitch. Whether or not he signed a whole new deal, effectively the option that was in bis favour has been removed.

Also, be a bit more thoughtful in your assertion that a PO is not a 'get out' option. Without seeing the wording of the option you cannot possibly state it definitively isn't that. It might be.
What we do know is that it lies in the players favour, and therefore effectively DOES give the player the opportunity to leave before the end of the overall contract terms (ie, seeing it as a get out isn't wrong).

Offering him more money is the same as if he had activated the option. It's the opposite of removing it.

Not offering Brown more money means we are happy for him to activate the first option and keep the second.
I reckon at Moses’ age we were able to bring down the value of the contract to a degree by making it 5 years. He probably would have cost even more if it was only a 2-3 years extension.

how many times does it need to be said
It doesn’t matter what the chairman, CEO or GM say - they couldn’t possibly know what Pou knows. Pou has said they are just saying that for the media’s benefit and what Pou says overrides what anyone at the club states .

forget that it is the only concrete evidence of what they are doing and even though the clubs very actions with penisini, Moses and brown support the notion that they have abandoned options….none of that matters

Take a leaf out of the book of Gronk and Quint and just believe everything the Pou says, regardless of the fact that he is a blithering idiot who would argue against a brick wall for the sake of it.

As for obsession, consider that you are here every day defending the numbskull views and theories of an admitted and obvious troll - and you don’t even do it out of belief, it’s just done because your miserable existence can only be marginally brightened by winding up parra fans for the sake of it….

Is it really bad news if Dylan pisses off

What has the bloke done for Parramatta that makes him so special.

He signs a 9 year contract with at least 2 PO's that gives himself the opportunity to milk the joint dry.

6 months after signing that contract he then gets himself pissed during the bye round turning up to the Sheaf in Double Bay off his head gets himself locked up and suspended for 7 games which was the death-knell for that season.

The following year his halves partner goes down and the season turns to ruins.

Then 18 months later post the arrest he wants a f**king upgrade and has done nothing since the arrest to warrant it

Like get f**ked Dylan

I am sorry the bloke is the biggest piece of garbage to run out for the joint in the past 20 years

He has already milked probably 3-4mill off the joint. And what has he delivered???

Other then bad press

It amazes me people like Gronk still want to defend the bloke.

Yeh look the whole contract saga he is dragging the club through right before the start of the season is beyond ordinary. I feel it’s management driven and regardless of the answer we need an answer so the club can move on. We’ve seen this before with plenty of our big name players prior (Moses/Gutho) it seems to be a Parra problem, partly inflated by the fact the media love to hammer us.

But I still feel this is a kid we signed as a 15yo from New Zealand and developed into an International. On his day I still feel he is the perfect prototype 5/8th, not easy to replace.

2022 he was arguably our best player and was outperforming Moses.

2023 he royally f**ked up and I do hope he remembers that the club stuck with him and he should do likewise. When he returned at the end of that season he was playing good footy again.

Not blowing smoke his ass but opposed to that I personally know what the kid has done for a lot of charities Parra is involved in (specifically Ronald McDonald house from my experience) and he is outstanding in that area, the kids love him.

Last season was a disaster but at no point during the season did I not think Dyl was not trying his arse off, statistically his numbers were still pretty good. He just proved he wasn’t up to being a 7 in a team that was absolute dross.

I just fine the attitude of ‘we will find someone else’ line is a bit of a throwaway. Lynn and Twidle both went okay in a couple of trial games but they are miles off where Dylbags was at the same age. I rate Volkman but imo he is a 7 not a 6.

Realistically what other 5/8ths are on the market? Okay cool we will just sign Metcalf… not happening, IF he leave Wests we all know he will be personally picked up by Politis in his Bentley and delivered to the doorsteps of Bondi.

Moses is 30 and just signed for 5 years which will see out his career. I see we have a small opening of 2026-28 to win a comp and to do that we need an elite 5/8th to compliment Moses. Age wise these years should be absolute prime for Dylan.

*edit sorry I did just remember if he does leave we have Will Penisini to throw in there so we should be sweet

Great news and an absolute endorsement of the new regime
Will Dyl sign on or leave …. I hope he stays but a clear line has been set. Mitch is our man and Dyl if you want to be part of our revolution then get on board or f**k off … Josh Lyn looks the goods to me
I really like what I’ve seen from Josh Lynn also albeit only a small sample size. He’d also have a full 12months to continue his game before needed.

That’s good business getting Riley on a dev contract for two years. I think he’ll be top 17 fairly early on this season so to be able to play him and not even count him in the top 30 is awesome. In saying that, if that does play out I dare say we’re upgrading him at the end of the season with a longer term contract.
