I think Maloney was the true general there.

2 average halfbacks in Mitch Pearce and Townsend won premierships with Maloney as the 6.

Everywhere Maloney played success sort of happened.

You could argue his influence at Penrith helped set them up for a dynasty when Luai took over the 6.

And he made a GF at the warriors with a rookie in Shaun Johnson alongside him.

We all know in hindsight that run the warriors had in 2011 had nothing to do with Ivan Cleary's coaching.

Loved watching him in the trials. He’s ready for first grade. Well done to El Commandante Ryles by rewarding him for his excellent showing. He seems to offer everything gReed does but without the ridiculous carry on. At a fraction of the price too.

This has nothing to do with his talent/skill, just don't want to see him thrown in the deep end before he's proven he's strong enough.
