Chammas suggesting we ask the Panthers if they really want Blaize. Imagine if they gave him back! That would be peak rugby league and probably cause this place to explode in on itself.
Surely that can't be right

Dylan had the opportunity to show accountability and dare I say leadership for his lack of living up to his contract signed in 2022. He derailed 2023 for the club, he didn't play well in 2024 ... and instead of buying into the rebuild between now and his next option he put himself up for sale. He didn't repay the club for offering him a secure long term deal .. He didn't perform like a $1 mil dollar player and he showed zero to the clauses put in by the club which protected him from serious injury. he's well within his rights to , but as soon as he put himself up for sale and that offer came in we all agree it was stupid for him not to take it. I think many players wouldn't have even seen the offer because they wouldn't have let it get that far. What would Tommy Turbo get offered if he put himself out there? Cleary ?
I honestly think Dylans decisions whilst well within his rights make him an extremely risky 10 year investment. Not just for his on field play but how unaware he seems of his responsibility and accountability to a team and their performance . Sort of guy that will forever lack that edge to be great but live safe in the knowledge he and his family are financially secure. All well and good, kind of glad he's not our long term problem.
Short term I have real concerns how he is going to play the rest off 2025. His head is in the clouds at the best of times.
Yep, and like I said somewhere, not once in any quote that I heard or saw attributed to Ryles did it sound like he was desperate for Drown to stay. In fact he actually exhibited a great deal of apathy about the whole situation IMO.Like I said somewhere we waived the cooling off period.. We didn't want him to change his mind ..

You would argue in a f**king empty room seriously.Plenty of non-organising halves would be on more than $1.1M. Haas, Munster and a bunch of fullbacks would be on at least that much. It’s about their contribution, not whether they can ‘organise’.
It's just a suggestion from a dopey journo. It'll become it's own story though.Surely that can't be right

You do realize that sometimes a competitor's offer is so extraordinary, that a counter-offer would be embarrassing for all parties ? That doesn't mean that we won't match it. It means that we can't match it.But we didn’t even put up a fight, I just don’t think Ryles is a fan.
Or you're overstating the risk of agreeing to them.Or you're overstating their impact in keeping salaries down.
So negligible cost/risk to the car yard? You could be right.I kinda view them as something like a car salesman would offer free car mats with a new car purchase.
Was anyone desperate for him to stay? Every player is replaceable.Yep, and like I said somewhere, not once in any quote that I heard or saw attributed to Ryles did it sound like he was desperate for Drown to stay. In fact he actually exhibited a great deal of apathy about the whole situation IMO.
He's already one ffs. If reports are correct he is worth $1M plus 30%. Feel free not to argue with that. You would argue in a f**king empty room seriously.
The bloke is a flake and turns up when he feels like it. He’ll never be a million dollar player. Go argue elsewhere ffs!!
But he didn't leave for the money. Ffs!You do realize that sometimes a competitor's offer is so extraordinary, that a counter-offer would be embarrassing for all parties ? That doesn't mean that we won't match it. It means that we can't match it.
To construe from that silly conclusions that he is out of the coach's favour, without all the information would be foolish.

I know it coincided with us no longer playing in the finals.I could be
You got any idea about the clubs position regarding POs moving forward???
Nah, he just didn't want to appear to be money hungry. After a while he spilled the beans. But he didn't leave for the money. Ffs!
Seriously dude STFU!! Anything for an arguement, you'd start one in a morgue. He's already one ffs. If reports are correct he is worth $1M plus 30%. Feel free not to argue with that.

After a while....it was about 2 minutes later.Nah, he just didn't want to appear to be money hungry. After a while he spilled the beans.
“The Knights was just too hard to turn down.... it’s a lot of money and it does good things for my family.”
