Watched all these recently all different types of hookers in my book.

Coinakis and Da Silva are similar though Coinakis better defence and nice kicking game for some one that has only played up to Ball at this stage. Da Silva has better footy awareness at the moment and also has a pretty decent player in the tigers squad to learn from..

Smith and Hudson are very similar and just wont stop and are high effort players Ryles apparently was told by a former NRL player give Hudson a go.

But Smith at the moment is my pick out of all of them so far.
You'd hope so. Ryley Smith is 22 this year; two years older than Da Silva, Hudson and Boooooods, and three years older than Coinakis.

I almost feel now that BA's biggest downfall was being friends with some players.

He kept dead wood in the side including his kid who was rushed in too early.

For the record, I used to think his downfall was the chase the collision strategy.
Every coach keeps his job only with the consent of the senior players. This aligns with Bennett’s comment about the captain being more important than the coach.

Ryles now needs to keep Moses happy, along with whichever new leadership group coalesces around him.

Interesting times ahead, with the changing of the guard.

It's a tough time for players and fans. Timmy and Fui found it tough as well. I recall Jammer saying (about DCE) that when you get to a certain age, that you can be braining it and then the next game - all of a sudden - the game is too fast for you.

Sometimes you work it out yourself and sometimes you need someone to tap you on the shoulder.

Don't underestimate how the loss of experience hits a club. Not just on the field but just lockerroom chat on a random Tuesday.

I am talking wise heads not gangster rich kids.

Pou - you really need to get over your obsession with ages mate. There are sooooooo many factors that can contribute to whether a kid debuts at 18 or 22.

Do us all a favour take the age out of the equation and just watch the footballer and what they producing on the field.

Our senior players are so soft
Haven’t (can’t) read the article but assuming wants time to think about whether he really wants to play. I think that’s honest. If you know what it takes and you don’t think you want to put in, then take some time make a call.
Emphasis on ‘make a call’.
Edit: reading it’s indefinite leave. It’s only footy and you can’t do it forever. Good luck Shaun.

And despite what happened later, that Hayne chap went alright too.
Hayne was an outside back when he made his Origin debut. They always hit their milestones earlier than forwards and spine players. When Fittler was picked in Origin he was a utility in the Penrith side. His last three Panthers games before his Origin debut were at fullback.

my post wasn’t meant to be a knock on him. I just don’t see any similarities between him and fitter other than body size. Fitter had a massive step that Lachie doesn’t have. He reminds me of Scott Hill

If he turns out to be as good as Scott Hill then that’s great (for whichever club he signs with).

I was a big fan of Scott Hill. Thought he was an underrated player.
