NRL: South Sydney Rabbitoh's much hyped Englishman Lewis Dodd is set for his first NRL start vs. the Newcastle Knights.
Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty has reportedly informed Ricky Stuart he will depart the nation’s capital, signing with the Sea Eagles.
That is according to Code Sports, who are reporting the 31-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year, $2 million deal to take over at halfback from the departing Daly Cherry-Evans.
Fogarty reportedly met with Stuart on Tuesday morning to break the news, having battled with his decision over several weeks.

Young gun Ethan Sanders will be Fogarty’s long-term halves replacement, with the experienced No.7 set to depart at the end of the 2025 season.
Stuart reportedly also confirmed Fogarty would remain the club’s chief playmaker for the remainder of this season, delivering a host of strong performances this year.
His decision comes after Raiders powerbrokers failed to trigger a clause in his deal which would have extended him for a further year.
Instead, they tabled a two-year contract in a bid to stave off Manly’s poaching raid, which ultimately proved unsuccessful.
More to come.
Smith is easily the best 9 at our club now. He deserves a top30 contract.Tuivaiti has an NRL contract right now, aged 20. If he doesn’t have one for next year it’s because he’s holding out for the best offer. Is Smith holding out for a better offer? He accepted a development spot for this year and next, when he will be turning 23 ffs. If there were top 30 offers why didn’t he take them? Matt Arthur got a top 30 offer straight away. He is an elite playmaking dummy half for his age group.
Shame he doesn't have one yet.Smith is easily the best 9 at our club now. He deserves a top30 contract.
Past is the past. He has shown on the field he is our future.
Maybe we're waiting to see if we can sign more players for this year. If we can't we can offer him top 30 for a couple of years and front load it as much as they allow to ease pressure on the capSmith is easily the best 9 at our club now. He deserves a top30 contract.

Do you even Pou bro??Unless you were with me and this particular person when he said this to me, I really don’t know what your point is.
I’m trying to give the forum some insight but you are challenging it with nothing but assumptions and generalisations.
I do, usually after my first morning double espresso.Do you even Pou bro??
I Haven't really seen much of Sanders.Good signing, surprised the Raiders are happy for him to leave.
Raiders must have a lot of faith in Sanders.
I normally poo after I read one of Pou’s postsI do, usually after my first morning double espresso.
Well it’s true he was more chance of playing first grade here than at Penrith but we didn’t even offer him a development contract.Penrith did rate him and he had a choice between Eels and Penrith, he chose Parra because he thought he had a better chance to play first grade here
Sometimes when my wife has cleaned the house and mowed the lawn, she thinks she's done a wonderful job.....and she has to a degree....until I point out that she forgot to take the trash out.....see what I'm saying???Most of those players played their best footy at our club.
He is on a development contract ffs. When he first came to the club he wasn’t even on that, and was behind Meni f**king Luke.Yep this is what I have been told too..
But wasn't highly rated apparently
I’m sure she does a better job than she did for her previous husbandsSometimes when my wife has cleaned the house and mowed the lawn, she thinks she's done a wonderful job.....and she has to a degree....until I point out that she forgot to take the trash out.....see what I'm saying???
They sound like a well run family club. He’s actually the kids godfather.
What makes you think Smith will still be here after his contract expires? Also fairly sure Hands and Lussick won't be with us once their contracts expire.. Smith can't have been rated at all..
And fair to say we still don’t know if Ryley Smith is going to make it. A year ago merkins thought Brendan Hands was the future. Hooker is probably the hardest position to recruit for, and the easiest to overspend on.Was involved in a small way when Ryley Smith was in the Riff juniors, the junior coaching staff rated him as a possible, but felt that his size didn’t correlate with the way the Panthers played in the NRL. Believe that’s one reason why he wasn’t offered much of a deal in the end. This happens across the broad NRL and for a change we got some benefit .
He was stuck behind Trent Barrett’s son Meni Luke ffsI agree 110%....the Maltese warrior has done good....
But that's missing the point that nepotism prevented his progress because of MA...
