Would only be a matter of time I'd suggest. He's made a fantastic start to the season and we won't want to lose him. JR's investment in youth will have some teething problems, but it's going to put us in a strong spot for a good few years IMO.
Not only JR, but he has inherited a wave of kids coming through which is the fruit from the trees planted by the club some years ago. The GFs this weekend in girls and boys is proof of that.

On top of that we have a massive (good) headache of the Ball squad being all available for Flegg after this week, however unlike past years, the Flegg team are doing really well. We could literally field two Flegg teams in the backend of 2025.

The selection of Charlie Guymer to second row this week shows that JR is determined to clean the club out of players who played for BA. This is despite both Cartwright and Matterson not playing too badly on the weekend. However this could backfire in the short term as there is a lack of experience with the forwards and as we know this lack leads to losses in close games without an old hand to guide the rookies. How this works out we'll see on Friday when we play a struggling Sharks outfit. In Ryles we trust.

We should win by 40+ if we kick off 24 hours early.

How to win friends and influence coaches. Mind you, JR strikes me as the kinda bloke who doesn't give 2 fks. If you don't deserve to get picked in his eyes, you're out.

Matto dialled it in with an Instant Scripts certificate on the eve of his first game as coach. I doubt he has forgotten.
I have no doubt Ryles came in with a pre-conceived opinion of Matto before he arrived and the problem he was.

Gave him a chance anyway and then what happened Round 1 with Matto pulling out with a sore back was all Ryles needed to know about Matto as a team man.

To top it off he spits the dummy in round 3 against the Bulldogs and pulls of NSW Cup again with a sore back issue after being left out of the 17.

Ryles has probably got all the answers he needed from those couple of weeks that Matto is not worth the trouble moving forward.

How about he is looking for a certain style and some players offer that already, some players have adapted quickly and some are slower to adapt ? Some maybe won't be able to adapt.

Personally, I think that the concept of JR placing some players in column A and column B, with B being the players who played for BA is crazy talk.
