I have no doubt Ryles came in with a pre-conceived opinion of Matto before he arrived and the problem he was.

Gave him a chance anyway and then what happened Round 1 with Matto pulling out with a sore back was all Ryles needed to know about Matto as a team man.

To top it off he spits the dummy in round 3 against the Bulldogs and pulls of NSW Cup again with a sore back issue after being left out of the 17.

Ryles has probably got all the answers he needed from those couple of weeks that Matto is not worth the trouble moving forward.

Any guesses on how much cap space we might still have for this year? If junior retires that a a whole heap of $$$ freed up for next year as well. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be much quality available on the market to spend it on at the moment.

Who would be on your hit list as a big throbbing alpha to pack down in our front row? Not a promising young gun, a 100 gamer just hitting their stride is what we need. It’s a shame we didn’t get May, not sure what happened there. Haas is probably unrealistic. Get Oregon back? Maybe Barnett would want to come back to Sydney although he’s not off contact till 28. Not many top props available atm.

Dunno so much. For depth I think he'd be not too bad. Wouldn't cost much either and has 50 or so NRL appearances under his belt.
