Rumours and Stuff

I don't care we didn't sign Galvin. The Merkins has f**ked over the Tigers and would have done something similar to us.

The passion that our new guys showed on Friday gives me confidence that the players we have are buying into the Ryles way.

I get what you’re saying. But our management is the problem. We need people like Gus that can support Ryles. Jim and Mon are dead weights.

If we had someone like Sterling, respect presence, we’d conversation all signings. Instead we have RE*****

I’m emotional about this. f**k toy Galvin I hope you spend the rest of your time battling injury you little merkin.

Confession time, I have LOVED watching the Dogs rise, I have loved them as a team. I guess I never really understood or felt the “hate”.

That all changes now. I f**king despise them as much as I do the Broncos, Manly, and Melbourne!

As for Phil Gould I have loved his podcast and fallen in love with the bloke. Now this, you won’t get a bigger death rider than me now.

f**k Gould, f**k Galvin and f**k the Dogs!

Be classy mate, Dont wish injury to anyone . I wish the kid well.

Just hope we are the ones winning premierships not his team. And the way we are progressing, hopefully in 12 months time we will be up there and stay theren

Do you remember how these dicks handled the Wayne Bennet coaching signing? They should have been sacked after that embarrassment. They don’t know what they are doing. Been saying for 3 years.

THEY ARE A FREAKING EMBARRASSMENT.

Wouldnt have a dig at our guys in this instance tbh

I would say more so he was always going to the dogs from day 1. Look at the way Gus was talking about him, from a year ago.

Just because some people on here were chest beating that he will be coming to Parra doesnt mean we stuffed up.

That’s a problem that needs to be addressed.
It really shows the difference in approach of the respective recruitment teams.

Whenever Gould is involved, it’s a case of sign whoever you want, and then piss off who you don’t to make the cap work. You can already see the seeds planted for Mahoney not to be there next year (if he’s not pushed before then). It happened at Penrith too with getting rid of the likes of Moylan and RCG.

For better or worse, our recruitment team is obviously much more cautious and have consistently taken an approach of making sure the pieces fit first. I’m sure there’s still fairly raw wounds from the salary cap scandal.

As for Galvin himself? I honestly don’t know that he would’ve been the right fit for Parra at this stage of his career. With rookies at fullback and hooker, another raw talent (and he’s undeniably a talent) but very inexperienced player in the spine would be a fairly substantial risk. He could end up being as good as he’s been hyped, but he’s far from a finished product yet. At least for the next couple of years, I think a solid journeyman five-eighth is probably a better fit, particularly if it gives us more scope for some better forwards.

Your club f**ked this on a nuclear scale. As big as Teddy and Moses. Will you ever learn ?
Explain how sitting a kid down and saying we really desperately want you to play for us, in fact we will give you and extra $500K this year, and extra $500K next year and then $1M a year for the next 5 years and we build a team around you....is "f**king this"?

The only club here doing the f**king up here was Parra. They had him. Isaac Moses was booking training facilities in the Hills for Galvin 3 weeks before the Richo meeting. Parra were super smug. Ryles talking about how much he wanted him before Galvin even had permission to talk. Eddie Jones out of the coaches box "“I think they’ve got Lachlan Galvin,” says Jones of the Eels’ bid to swoop on the teenage five-eighth when he leaves the Wests Tigers."

As soon as Brown left Parra approached Moses and set about making this happen, completely burning a 19yo kids relationship with his teammates and club. Moses and Galvins Dad are grubs and shouldnt be allowed to have anything to do with young footballers and Parra royally f**ked this...
Cry more....

Ok the NRL is literally littered with ex Tigers stars. They lose another and you can’t see it.

I get it, you have an itch or tick that makes you repeat your beef with the club every post. Go for your life. Scratch away.
Cmon! List the achievements of our lot in the last 4/5 years, a litany of players wanting out and reserve graders. Hiring someone
into that position with no experience isn’t what good management does.

My experience is hire someone with a profile and track record in the top quartile of your industry, monitor them for 18 months and if they don’t make the level expected move on, Business and sport is unforgiving and results driven. Surely that’s the point of all this, no friggin results compared to our peers.

I'm not upset Galvin went to the Dogs, but I am upset that we didn't land a player we targeted. Does that make sense?

In other words, we need a better Footy GM and recruitment head.

One question though: Dogs have the ability to sign players and somehow magically get rid of ones they no longer want. TPJ and the young half immediately come to.mind. How does this get approval from the NRL?

Imagine if this signing derails the Dogs season and they fail to make the 8 next year!
