One question though: Dogs have the ability to sign players and somehow magically get rid of ones they no longer want. TPJ and the young half immediately come to.mind. How does this get approval from the NRL?

Imagine if this signing derails the Dogs season and they fail to make the 8 next year!

Completely agree...shouldn't be allowed to sign any players unless you show you already have space not you will create space by bouncing a current contracted player...

Na Tigers are worse. They pretty much offered a rookie who has played one season and won a wooden spoon Nathan cleary money and he still stood them down.

Would it have been nice to land him? sure. Is it the end or the world? No.

750k was probably still alot but I’d be happy with it with the potential he has shown however we lost out to a bulldogs team that is coming 1st.

Be interesting to see where we go from here though. Does this give Joash a crack at 6? He played well on Friday and I don’t think he should go back to reserve grade.

I was devastated for a week or so after the Richo meeting but since then Im relieved we dodged a bullet with that Contract for this guy, his Dad and his manager. He has played rubbish since and is a bad influence around the club. TDS will be going as well for similar reasons.

I am glad he is gone but its a damn shame the way the whole thing has happened. He literally had the opportunity to be the face of a club as it rebuilt, to get paid $6M for the privilege and to learn from the like of Luai and Api.

Timing is bad for us though with Latu still a few weeks away from being available. looks like Doueihi at 7 for a few weeks.

I am going to jump on the Tigers bandwagon and hope they make the 8 this season under Benji.
