Rumours and Stuff

Watch the Cup highlights of this week, quick, strong and decent passer, good defender generally and has been a stand out in Ball and Flegg. In the trial agst the Knights he was more than handy, tall and good frame. Worth taking a chance .

Could we blood him now with the view for next year? I just don’t need to see why we need to persevere with Brown this year.

The only reason to persevere with Brown this year is he is pretty good and we are more likely to win games with him. That is a big reason even though we aren't winning the P this year. Getting each win is great - tends to make or break my weekend sadly.

Anyone thinking Api is a genuine option for 5/8 in 2026, need to consider this. Him and Papalii are the same age.

Api has played a total of 3 NSW cup games, and all at fullback. Papalii has played 45 games. Papalii was playing NSW cup before Api had even played Flegg.

BTW, pretty sure club has a player option for Api for 2026 for a development contract.

He’s not a 5/8, most mature good young one coming through is Api Twidle, played well in the pre season and been lighting it up when in Reggie’s, but playing at fullback and in support play.

Seems he still not signed for next year, see what happens.

Api has only played 3 games at CUP level unfortunately I think both he and Lynn are behind a few players.

The club just resigned Volkman and has Hawkins as well in CUP.. neither for me are the long term 5/8 option.

Joash could be a 5/8 he needs to continue to develop though.. Anything is possible.

According to those in the know Galvin was trying to leave the Tigers to join the Eels. Childhood fan and all that. Just as negotiations can legally take place he decides to join the dogs. Probably because Moses would have a higher ranking over him.

I feel for Parra fans but in the long run it will probably be best for you.

Brown is barely a 5/8, seeing JPap next to others suggests he is not as small as some were saying. Give him a run there from off the bench and see how he goes. Not like Brown can complain and the value we can get out of this season is to try a few players out.
