U just don't want last
If we do run last there will be a lot of self-inflicted actions that contributed to that.

We let players go and failed to replace them in the off season, and we have disegarded more experienced players in preference for complete novices.

These actions may result in positive benefits in the future, but for this season they were never going to provide immediate positive results.

Agree. Think went too hard in releasing some players and not playing some of the more experienced players..time will tell but can't say it's been enjoyable to watch...quite the contrary apart from 2-3 games

RCG, Gutho and Talagi aren't exactly setting the world on fire at other clubs. The rest who left I couldn't give a shit about, including Sivo. Thus far I think we've bought some decent players who are giving it a crack. We were never going to make an impression on this year's premiership considering what's happened over the last 12 months.

Think of us as a car bought from Pickles Auctions. JR could only kick the tyres before he bought in. Once he towed us home he saw a lot of hidden rust and a bent chassis from previous encounters. The roster will look quite different by the time 2026 rolls around. I don't think that JR isn't going to throw some bog our way then flip us. He's more than likely to cut more rust along the way which may include a few plug welds.

Surely Moses doesn't go to the UK at the end of the year for the Kangaroo tour.

It would be selfish if he does tbh i would be ropeable.

He needs a full pre-season to get his body right.

His on over a million bucks a year and is now the captain.

Time to show some leadership & start repaying the club instead of just getting yourself to play rep footy and getting injured from it.

I agree....I've said before how I felt he should have retired from rep footy seeing as he has ticked all the boxes in that arena and has publicly expressed how much he would love to bring Parra a premiership. Given that plus the fact this is his third major origin related injury affecting club matches, I just can't see the point of it continuing this way. Sure there's the financial incentive but how bad to you really want to win a comp is what I ask....in any case, glad he'll be back for the home stretch to help guide us away from the spoon.

If there's never been a more compelling case to sign Sandon Smith now then just hand us the spoon now. We need back up and fast. He's a very good player. GeT iT DONE
Why wouId the roosters release him this year?

Gee a lot of the players MON gets criticised for not signing or even talking too, are actually under contract and there is no reason for their club to release them (and we can't even talk to them).

Gutho started well be he’s run out of puff, the longer the season goes the more I’m convinced letting him go early was the right call.

Read my later post
So you telling me the roosters who are in contention for the finals this year, even top 4, were prepared to release a starting half for this year.

And all a few weeks back. Which was before Walker had even played his comeback game last week. And that's without consideration of the risk/time to return to form for a player from an ACL injury.

I call bullshit on the story! Roosters management aren't that stupid!

Maybe you got the story mixed up with Townsend....

It was gracious of Ryles to allow RCG and Gutho go to pursue longer 3 year contracts at a higher salary than he may have extended them if they'd chosen to see out their contracts.

People aren't giving Ryles enough credit for setting the benchmark for being a people first coach in not a being hard-arse like Flannagan and holding them to their contract. He could have but he chose to reward them for their service by allowing them to go.

Same as Ivan Clearly allowing James Fisher-Harris to go to NZed even though JFH clearly blindsided the club and left them high and dry after letting Spencer Leniu go to shore up JFH and missing out on an attempt to get Addin Fonua-Blake.

The one I rue we let go is Ethan Sanders. He showed great promise when he filled in last year, changing up our style and hes' gone on to prove himself so far at the Raiders guiding them to a win against the Chooks in Round 13. He's a future star for mine.

Oh well, what's done is done and if we can keep on keeping on as we've shown in the last few weeks the future looks bright.

Hahaha...actually no. I can't give away who but I was at an official club event when I was told.
Literally happened straight after we missed out on Galvin...
Call bullshit all you like
I'm not here to spread BS but will share without revealing who.
I do get the occasional bit of info through people I know who are directly and indirectly involved with the club
