The other podcast was a bit better I thought, in relation to having more harder questions.

It has made me think Queensland are all but certainties now.

He credited "alignment" from a recruitment and roster management perspective.

He noted that Ryles and the recruitment team have a clear vison to recruit in Iine with the coaching style.

Actually an interesting answer, because I do believe that this what we ARE trying to do - and he does say that they are learning to get the right mix of short term and long term planning.

I still think the framing of the question was submissive shit, but the answer wasn't terrible to be fair.

My only issue is that they might know the right way forward, but I have no faith that our R & R can execute.

I just found the "How did you get it so right" aspect incredibly funny.

How they even got to the point of having him on is beyond belief, especially after all the circus antics last season — dressing MON up as a clown, spreading nonsense about Jim being a Dogs fan, and launching pointless petitions that went nowhere.


Wasn’t Adam a bit sheepish given the history? He and his bunch of dopes publicly went after them, and some of the attacks got downright personal.

At least when I attack @Gronk and @Poupou Escobar I don’t use their real names and make up shit.

Last year we used 31 players in First Grade. Of those 31 we have turned over/released/lost 14 of them with at least another 3-4 that will leave at the end of this year. That is a pretty significant roster turnover in anyones language.
Probably only 2 we would have liked to have kept in hindsight (Sanders and Talagi).

Unfortunately progress wont be instant - at least not significantly noticable progress.
We are seeing it in our approach to areas of the game such as improved defence but the errors and some discipline under pressure are costing us - removing these really only comes with experience and that isn't instant.

Even Sterlo is calling for patience and if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

Next year some genuine first graders who are or on the fringe of being rep players are required. With all the money we have and assuming Lane and Matterson also leave we will have more than enough cash to entice at least 2.

Paulo has surprised me this year. He has been effective but needs some experience up front to assist him. Ryley Smith also cannot be the only hooker as I suspect Hands won’t be here either. A strike centre would be good too. I reckon the players may come from the QLD teams.
