He was just as bad last year and was pretty ordinary the year before. He’s a massive problem and the fact he took up his option rather than us offering an extension, at age 22, in a position we’re light on, suggests the club feels the same.
No he was better last year and his best season was 2023, which is when he signed his current contract. So the option he recently activated would’ve been based on his form at age 21, which is more than he could get based on his current form. That’s why he took the option. If the club didn’t want him they would be treating him the same way they are treating other unwanted players.

What were Penisini’s tackle effectiveness numbers for 2024?

Then what’s the head of recruitment for?
He’s mr invisible as well, but MON closes deals and is responsible for selling the club, which doesn’t seem to have been done well. We hired a list manager who was mr who, when we needed someone with a track record. Doesn’t seem we do hiring that well in that area compared to our peers.

For some reason you defend an area which is faitly obviously not as good as we see most other clubs. I guess it’s for pure arguments sake, surely not because you believe it .

Yes ,but it’s all about alignment, whatever that means for an end result on the field.

Probably says more about the other 14 teams really and how bad they have been going..

Not sure why you are dick riding MON so hard .

You don't need to have spent the most on the football department to be able to develop players from your junior nursery.
It’s purely a troll

If people thought MON was killing it, poubot would be destroying him in this forum - same as penisini

but he has to take the opposite view to the majority, it makes him feel smart and unique - makes you wonder how sad and lonely he must feel in real life to attempt fulfilment through false superiority on the internet.

The majority of teams are below standard? This is your logic?

This isn’t about MON, he might be doing a poor job but just like you, I don’t know. Which is why I don’t criticise him and neither should you.

The Roosters just won SG Ball. Again. The Storm are leading Jersey Flegg. And you still think it’s about junior nurseries rather than money?

Does anyone with inside knowledge know if Paulo is playing on next year?

He has been quite good this year, imo.

If he leaves, we need a decent replacement.

This might be crazy (it probably is), but Penisini might be worth a look as an interchange edge forward.

His biggest strength is his strength, and tackle-breaking ability.

His hands let him down, and he isn't lightning quick.

If we insist on retaining him, we may get better value from him in this role.

/Insane idea

And this might be a really unpopular opinion, but I'm really liking the improvement in Kautoga - he's still very raw, but there is potential there.
I've mentioned this in the past when Will was having a shocker on the left side and Zac was right side centre

Bailet Zac Will Moses

on the right edge and for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

However, his ball handling is still an issue

Wouldn't mind Cobbo, for the right price of course, to play centre, a position we are poor in and even our juniors appear weak in. However, Ryles would need to work on his personality to get the best from him.
Maybe JACs could help him.

Jnr and Moa is there for the polynesian boys
