Are you arguing that Lussick could be as good as Cameron Smith? If so I’d love to hear your argument. I’m certain I can counter any point you try to make. I’ll start with the obvious one: how many NRL players improved after the age of 30? You’d have more luck arguing that Ryley Smith could be as good as Harry Grant, which I also disagree with, but there is less evidence against it.

I respect your intellectual honesty. A lot of fans of clubs would sh*t on a player and say they’re no good if they left their club. I saw Parra fans saying Da Silva sucks when they thought he’d signed with Manly.

He’s pretty ordinary right now. It’s only his age (and potential ability) that makes him exciting. I doubt he’ll improve us this year. Hopefully after another off season he’ll be a much better player. At his age (20) it’s more likely than for Ryley Smith (22).

MONs job isn't just the recruiting it's the leading of development for the players coming through which still isn't looking great in my books.

Can't understand Tigers in this situation and no wonder they are rooted towards the bottom of the ladder. They are signing a 33yo hooker for what...2 years, 3? Admittedly a good one but well past his best and let go a 10 year hooker with plenty of upside potential. What are they thinking???

They need a quality dummy half straight away, and can’t afford to wait for the 20 year old to get up to speed.

Actually this part of it makes perfect sense to me and I agree with what this decision.

Api is a gun and is still a gun right now and will be for a few more years. he will be 35 at the end of his career. Tigers need to win games now and in 26 and point bluntly Api makes that more likely and TDS doesnt.

If they’re doing a not so good job, is sacking them going to improve things? The NRL is a competitive market. You could have the 17th best rugby league recruitment manager (for example) in the world and still have the worst one in the NRL. Should you sack him and bring in the 18th best?

Probably not wise to try and guess what MoN's job actually is - there are others infinitely more qualified that do a fine job of that on a regular basis.
