Two things.
Firstly, this just means that they have positioned their stadiums way better than Sydney has. Well done to them and it actually works very well for them.
Secondly, if say, you live in Broadmeadow, or Wyndham, or Frankston, travel times aren't just a walk or a free tram ride, as you suggested. It's no different to living in Berowra, Hurstville or Cabramatta.
Your claim that Melbourne's infrastructure is better than Sydney's couldn't actually be further from the truth.
Their tram system is good but really no better than Sydney's bus equivalent. Their train system really isn't a patch on Sydney's.
As for their roads and traffic - it's just as bad as Sydney.
I've been there 3 times in the past 18 months. Driven all three times in that city and also caught public transport each time using the Myki card.
Honestly, Sydney is way ahead with infrastructure.

Fair call…

But as a visitor /tourist , I am only interested in the first point , and imo the cbd iis well setup, structured, positioned , designed whatever you want to call it. You have acknowledged that.

Couldn’t less about the 2nd point, not sure many visiting would , particularly those not driving (which is shit there with some of their rules )

Drove into Melbourne cbd with QLD number plates back in the day was an eye (an ear) opener, never been abused on the road so much lol

Visiting there isn’t as shit as many as saying , thought that was the general convo, unless I read the room wrong ?? Though it’s always appears fun to bag them out..as they do to us

Obviously don’t watch Tigers games that closely , but from what I’ve seen this year he’s been in the top 4/5 players most games. Won games with his goal kicking and made as many breaks as some of the so called Tigers stars. He’s handy, but like at l most clubs a player or two is disrespected. Guess he’s no 1 on that list
You need to watch more Tigers games if you think AD has been in out best 4/5 but I actually think this year is one of Adams best seasons. he has had some good moments. He has kicked goals well in a few games when it mattered but lost us games with poor goal kicking against Pamfers and Sharks. He is kicking at 71% which sub elite. Surprisingly (to me) his defence at centre has been very good. His attack at centre has been average. He has made a few breaks but each was the work of Luai not AD and critically, and this is my biggest issue, as soon as he makes the break he is done and is looking for someone because he is so slow and lately he always runs infield, still thinking and trying to prove he is a half (which he is not).

You probably watched his last game where he started in the halves this year, it was against Parra and he was terrible. He still thinks he is a half and wants to be a half, and he simply isnt. Has a VERY poor passing game which is weird because he CAN throw a great pass, particularly left to right to cut out a centre but he simply doesnt know when to pass and is a hog.

I probably doesnt read like it, but I like the guy, I like the way he has fought back from injuries, I like the way he has been loyal to the Tigers, I like his attitude, but he is simply not up to it. he is not a half for us and although right now he is the second best centre in the club, he shouldnt be and we need better and even without new purchases, I would like to think that either Taylan May or Makasini will take his job next year (or this). There is no place for him at the Tigers, but I genuinely hope he finds a new gig. Signing up with Isaac Moses in the last month or so probably ensures it wont be with us.

Two issues here. You don’t get a free pass to say bigoted shit and then activate your “religious” shield. It has nothing to do with being religious. People need to start taking responsibility for their own views instead of weaponising their religion to justify their bigoted views. Secondly, you're assuming that religious people (even from the same denomination) are a monolith. Thats demonstrably not true. The Catholic Church has homosexual priests in the clergy.
Genuinely and seriously, from my memory (and feel free to correct me), Doueihis "controversial anti LGBT" posts was simply replying "embarassing post" to a UK post talking about how important inclusion and everyone getting a go was in footy....which is a long way from "bigoted shit" IMO. Is there more to know?

It’s still a long way to go but Tits have home games vs Souths & Tigers, and even those seem unlikely at the moment. I struggle to see them winning another game this year. Even if they win those 2, it only puts them on 6 wins. It’s not impossible for them to turn it around, they definitely have some good players but their team attitude looks like they’d rather be doing anything else with their weekends
Titans and Tigers have each other twice this year. Whoever gets the spoon will have earned it the hard way.

(Its still not impossible that there is a double spoonbowl last round, Tigers v Titans, Eels v Knights).

Can’t stand religious people who post about Jesus all the time on social media and then try and impose their bigoted views on others.

I can’t stand people casually mocking Christians. Maybe you should give the Jews and Islamic people a crack. Hang on, they don’t put up with that shit, do they? Christians are just more tolerant.

I’m pretty sure there could be some in the Orthodox Church too, but they are old school and keep it in the closet.

Avenger, it’s a good point you make. I’m an atheist personally, but I do see outrage when Judaism or Islam is questioned.
I believe everyone deserves to have their own faith just like I can be ok with my beliefs or lack of. What grinds my gears is the fake Christianity on display in the US at the moment.stuff like that turned me into an atheist

Thanks mate, your choice is your own and I respect that. Personally, I’d prefer you being agnostic over atheist—just feels like leaving the door open, you know? There might be something out there far beyond what our little squirrel brains can grasp.

Almost Suity! I don’t hate the bleak city, but I would NEVER live there

I like Melbourne. I really do. I actually could live there.
I had an aunty and uncle that lived in Pascoe Vale South, that I used to visit when I was a kid. Lovely old house that I stayed in as a mid teen year old. I went there via train on my own. Wonderful memories.
I just think that Victoria aren't as good as they claim to be.
It's that chip on their shoulder that pisses me off. Alway's talking themselves up as the best of this, best of that sporting capital of the world, best coffee and food. Etc.....
Every time I'm there I get asked which AFL team I follow. The look on their faces when I reply that I don't like AFL is amusing. They hate that shit, and it shows how insecure they are.
