The one thing I disliked about my catholic upbringing is I felt guilty for things I never should of.
Buddhism helped me get thru some dark periods but. It's a religion I can resonate with. People love to talk about how many wars religions cause and don't consider how many lives it has quietly saved.
In desperate times the only thing that keeps us going is hope.
Some people have nothing. Faith keeps them fighting and it's selfish and unkind to take this away from them....

I'm unsure. I just felt a bit dirty when id have one night stands. Once or twice I went to a cat house and I felt very ashamed about it.

But we have proof that both Mohammed and Buddha actually existed! If you read Buddha's life history it has many similarities with Jesus' history but Buddha lived about 600 years earlier. Bit of a fluke I'd say that Jesus followed a similar path.

I agree with the first part , but I think brain washed religious terrorists are much more dangerous than an atheist that has no core religious beliefs but still believes in the law. Just because I don’t fear the afterlife doesn’t mean I haven’t developed my own code of morality.

Comparing the worst religious zealots with an idealised atheist? It's not exactly comparing apples with apples. Mao and Stalin were atheists.

Winter is definitely too cold, but Summer isn't really that hot. Besides a random few days a year above 35, it sticks between 25 and 30 most of Summer.

Winter is fine. For most of us, our ancestors evolved in cold climates. Proper seasons bring renewal.
