Who do you reckon Serbia or Germany?
The new generation of German's are some of the best people going around i have met.

They have a lot of Aussie type culture in them.

Friendly offer up a lot of banter & love bagging out the Poms.

They welcome you to there country.

I find them great people who have great respect for history and most things you expect in life.

I admire the way they can go from speaking German to English in the same sentence.

I did find out recently i have a bit of German in me from my grandmother's father's side.

Ill compare them to the f**kwits who are the french and there ain't a more arrogant bunch of arseholes in the world then those wankers. Its almost like your a prick for not being French.

Throw in all those lunatics roaming around Paris now trying to rip you off i am in no rush to go back there plus the city was a mess, dirty & filthy a lot like LA.

Most overrated city in Europe.

To think were paying Matto & Lane basically what we could get Tino for in 2 years is a no brainer.

I never saw Ray Price play.

But the things i have heard i reckon Tino has most of those traits and is a winner as well.

He could be our most important recruit since 1986 i don't think we have had a forward leader/winner that brings a no nonsense win at all costs like Tino would.

You can't win premierships without them you look at the modern era.

I look at Penrith in there dynasty they had JFH, Leota & Martin
Roosters have had Morley, JWH, Cordner.
Storm have had numerous over the years across multiple era's - Glenn Lazarus, Michael Crocker, Jeremy Smith, Tino, Jesse Bromwich
Souths had Sam Burgess in 2014
Cronulla had Luke Lewis, Wade Graham in 2016
Manly had Watmough & Glenn Stewart in 2008, 2011
Newcastle had Ben Kennedy in 2001

Our 3 GF sides in 01,09,22 who was our forward Leader - Hindmarsh, Cayless.

Hindy went to water in big games with his negative attitude and nervousness.

In 2022 our forward pack was Junz, RCG, Mahoney, Papa, Matto, Lane, Niukore & Nrown from a 2 month lay off.

RCG was probably the only one in that lot but got bashed up by JFH & Leota in the first 10-15 mins.

Do you honestly consider Api to be, at worse, unequivocally the second best hooker in the game worldwide?

I get being biased towards your own team, and defending every single recruitment move that the club makes, but come on, really?
HArry Grant is the only one Id take over him right now. Critically, and the original point, he is miles ahead of TDS.

Says it all really if they can't get current NRL players with PNG background to play for them what hope have they got.
It's all about their pathways. If they set that up correctly, they will be a "powerhouse" and have surplus players which will actually help support other NRL sides. They shouldn't have to recruit to much.

League is the no 1 sport in PNG with a population of nearly 12 million or so. NZ has 5 million or so and provide a big percentage NRL players.

Even comparing it to NSW, it has a population of 8 million or so supporting 10 NRL clubs.

Definitely won't be easy, but there is huge potential there. While PNG schools side was quite impressive against the Australian side last year. With the right systems and time they should be able to do it. They really only need to create a pool of 60 or so players (nrl level) then 10 - 20 or so each year to be a success. And that's from a population from 12 million who a league mad.
