Rumours and Stuff

Oh, I didn’t realise there were different tiers when it comes to offending people based on their religious beliefs. My mistake — apologies.

But that’s not the point, you clown. The issue is how Christianity is fair game on here, yet you and your mates don’t have the guts to go after Islam or Judaism the same way. Like I said, I don’t really give a f**k — I’m just pointing out how this forum reflects the broader double standards in the world.

I doubt anyone would actually say this stuff to someone’s face in public without the shield of internet anonymity. It’s just easier to take cheap shots from behind a screen.

And before you post the inevitable, yes we all do it.

Paul kent told a gem of a story on his podcast tonight.

At Penrith before Ivan was sacked the first time.

Ivan had a disagreement as Gus went to Ivan i want to move on Api Koroisau to clear some cap space obivously had his eyes on a new chess piece.

And Ivan went no way.

Gus said we want to clear cap space. Cleary said Segeyaro is on more money as the starting 9 but I think Api will be a better player in the long term.

Move segeyaro on and I'll promote Api to starting 9.

3 days later Ivan is driving to Penrith from the Northern Beaches and he heard on the radio Penrith had released Api to Manly.

Apprantley Ivan almost drove off the road.

History shows Gus sacked Ivan for looking tired a few months later.

Penrith moved on Segeyaro the following year anyway when Griffin came into coach.

So poor old Reed isnt the first dummy half Gus has moved on.

Good story but the best part is when Kent gets thrown into a tree drunk.

Watching Richo on 360 and give home credit, he’s front and centre and dodges nothing despite the scuttle butt.
Say what you like about Richo his always fronting up to the media and pushing his clubs agenda.

You very rarely see our CEO do any major interviews.

If he is its basically puff pieces with the Parra podcast crews or a light interview at mornings with Matty White on SEN once a quarter.

Sarantinos is pretty invisible amongst the game when it comes to his role.

I have said numerous times i dont think he is pushing our club in the background enough.

His too passive.

And we wonder why we dont get enough positive press when he is generally tucked away in the new COE at Kellyville.

Most wouldn’t even know who the Storm or Broncos CEOs are. That’s cos every club handles media differently.

Generally, our CEO doesn’t do press. Our press is focused on the captains run where they get access to the coach and club nominated players.

I reckon that if your CEO is doing the rounds on major TV Shows or the Bye Round, then the club is in damage control and trying to save face with fans and sponsors. They are shitting their pants.

As for Richo, the club is still a basket case, so his ability as an administrator is questionable.

I know exactly who the Brisbane Broncos CEO is and its Dave Donaghy who was poached from the Melbourne Storm.

He also has the advantage of having News corp in his pocket.

And i don't think Donaghy is the messiah Brisbane thought he was when they poached him from the Storm.

It's a lot easy being a CEO down in Melbourne away from the spotlight and the AFL being the premier sport.

Once you hit the furnace of the Broncos its a lot different.

They have won a few games now and got things back on track so some certain issues behind the scenes might slide away in the background for now.

You've gone off on a tangent.
