Hannay may go to the Titans.

But seeing how things have gone pear-shaped with Des - Holbrook's time there doesn't look as bad now he got them to the finals in 2021.

And was a Patrick Herbert pass away to knocking off the Roosters in that semi final.

Holbrook has shown he can coach attack.

The fact that Blake Green is the attacking coach for Newcastle & he is being discussed is either Issac Moses driven behind the scenes or the knights are complete idiots.

I have more concerns about two of the key pillars who helped assemble this mess of a roster in the first place that are still in there jobs then the coach.

The CEO was quoted the day we sacked Arthur "we think we still have a premiership quality roster.

Clearly Ryles looked at it within 5 mins and went you blokes are kidding.

I seen enough green shoots to think he can coach. His also been brave and ruthless enough to make tough calls on certain players.

Its now up to replacing those players.

I think we will get there if we stay the course its just a little longer then I first anticipated which is frustrating but I have seen change for the better.

Sooner we get Lane and Matterson off the books the BA/MON mess with POs will be wiped clean.

The green shoots are there. We have a young squad and inexperienced spine (except Moses and Brown - both missing most of the year) who'll improve with more games and another off season. Yes recruitment is an issue, we need another dominant middle (not sure big Sam cuts it here) another edge forward (maybe one of our juniors) and another strike centre as a bare minimum to become competitive.

I've said before Ryles should go after Fa'alongo, he has a relationship with him, we have the money and surely he is sick of playing on the wing which is not his preferred position. We could then move Iongi to 5/8 and Joash to centre. That one purchase solves a multitude of problems in the backs for an outlay of $850k-$1m and would add huge speed to our backline. And we'd still have plenty of money left to improve the team further. With the right forwards it might even propel us towards a premiership window.

So I was listening to Clint Newton talking on Kent's podcast the other day and he seemed to be saying that the RLPA negotiated a rule where options in contracts are no longer publicised.

He did have 2 weeks of training because of the bye
