It is understood Koina has joined the Eels until the end of 2028 on a deal that will eventually see him transition into the NRL squad.

If the deal has got him a NRL contract in 2028, then it's not just a junior deal, right ?

If you’re counting his development deal as an NRL contract maybe, it’s dependent on his progress that he gets to NRL level.

If we are talking promising young forward, Talagi junior is developing nicely. The kid is already starting prop in flegg at only 18. Very impressive.

Ryda will be a very good forward.. Needs to get his fitness right but can see him and JFL making the step up next season..

Feedback I just received is he is a really good young kid. He believes Parra were very aggressive in going after him as he knows The Dolphins went very hard for him, as did the Broncos. Like all kids there is no guarantee but he said he’s a good player atm coming into grade very strong as he matures.

Iongi’s injury is worse than first thought according to MMM radio. Needed surgery which he’s had. 6 weeks. He’s confident he’s back before the end of the season.

They knew he needed surgery after scans Monday morning and had surgery Tuesday.
Don’t think it’s any worse than first thought as they knew what it was pretty much straight away.
Ryles said today he’ll be 4 weeks
