Jarryd Hayne won three wooden spoons. If he wasn’t responsible for that, how could Jake Arthur’s be? You need to look at their individual contributions.

Having Hayne and Arthur in the same conversation is offensive

Actually, he can still pick Ron Massey players right to play for parra?

Tago came from there straight into 1st grade
No he didn't, he played half a season in reserve grade. The only reason he started the year in RM Cup is because he hadn't played footy for over 12 months. Two seasons before playing in our NSW Cup side he played half a season for Souths:

Former Titans coach, current Roosters assistant Justin Holbrook shopped to Knights as Adam O’Brien replacement
Justin Holbrook has emerged as a frontline contender for the Knights head coach job as the club prepares to part ways with Adam O’Brien. He’s among a number of candidates in the mix for the Newcastle gig.

Sydney Roosters assistant Justin Holbrook has been shopped to Newcastle as the Knights pulled the trigger on embattled coach Adam O’Brien.
This masthead can reveal Holbrook’s services have been offered to the Knights, who negotiated a severance package with O’Brien after high-powered meetings on Tuesday night.
It is understood Knights powerbrokers, including chair Geoff Coburn, emerged from the meeting comfortable with the terms of the payout, which was ratified by the full Newcastle board.
The departure of O’Brien will trigger a search for Newcastle’s next coach – and Holbrook has emerged as a frontline contender.

The 49-year-old is contracted to the Roosters for another 12 months but Sydney head coach Trent Robinson will not stand in Holbrook’s way if he gets a chance with the Knights.
Newcastle bosses will mull over a number of candidates including current assistant coach Blake Green, while Hull KR’s Willie Peters and Dragons assistant Dean Young are other options.
Former Parramatta grand final coach Brad Arthur has been linked with the Knights, but he is out of the picture after inking an extension with Super League club Leeds Rhinos a fortnight ago.
Green is considered a frontrunner to succeed O’Brien – he has the support of Knights stars including skipper Kalyn Ponga – but Holbrook will come under consideration.
Unlike Green, Holbrook has previous NRL head-coaching experience. He spent four seasons with the Titans, taking the club to the finals in 2021, the last time the Gold Coast have reached the playoffs, before being replaced by Des Hasler, who was sacked on Monday.

“I want to be a head coach again, definitely, I don’t have any doubts about that,” Holbrook said.
“I’m enjoying my time back at the Roosters, but I learnt a lot from my time at the Titans and that will hold me in good stead for any opportunity that comes up.”
O’Brien’s grip on his job has significantly weakened in recent weeks and the loss to the Broncos was the final straw.
Peters is another coach who will come under strong consideration.
The former Souths and Dragons halfback has worked previously at the Knights and has had brilliant success in England with Hull KR, winning the Challenge Cup in June – the club’s first silverware in 45 years.

I said he was only going to be a career backup. The fact he is wanted in the UK means he has exceeded expectations. Good on him.
Its just a remarkable coincidence that the Jakester leaves the club as Uncle Adam leaves....given how in-demand and valuable he is as a backup.

You would think that the absence of nepotism would mean that an NRL coach other than his Dad's close mates would want to keep him wouldn't you?

He was only ever signed till the end of the year. Maybe AOB doesn't know how to do nepotism very well and forgot to give Jake a big multi year deal. I know you are desperate to perpetuate this narrative, but FMD, the constant sniping is getting old.

The Arthur boys and their old creepy Uncle Pou!

That is one big hill you have chosen to die on...
In reality its just a small hill amongst many others.

Momoisea, Watmough, Hodgson, PO's, BA.

I am sure there is more but there the recent ones that have unfortunately ended badly for the club.
