He absolutely has a coterie of enablers who embolden him because he defends people at the club and former coaches that they are either close to or for whom they hold an emotional brief - never mind that he genuinely doesn’t believe anything he says and just argues for the sake of antagonising parra fans because that gives him joy.

These same enablers take personal offence when it is pointed out that their support of a troll makes them part of the trolling - and their friends then feel the need to defend them as well.

I don’t need to name the enablers, their glee at his trolling is evident to everyone.

Money is pretty tight in the UK super league these days. There isnt big money there any more. I dont think there is any chance that Matto gets similar money over there.

It's interesting in that they've increased the overseas quota for next season and there'll be another two Super League clubs, so there'll definitely be money to splash about. But the reality is that even if teams have the money, why would you splash 600k+ on Matto when you could get someone that would actually be a gamechanger/set your club up for success. It's why London Broncos are reportedly targeting players like Tyrell Sloane and RCG. (While the latter had a dismal 2025, he's still way ahead of Matto)

Offloading Matto will come down to how much of his contract we're willing to front for another team. Thus the real question comes down to how desperate we are to open up another roster spot/how much money we need to fill that empty spot.
