So you're saying that every player who asks for an early release from their debut club is at a rodeo even if they see out the year and still give 100%.

That's potentially a lot of players.
I don’t think he’s saying that. He’s identifying a developing trend.

And the number of players decreases significantly when they then ask to do it at their 2nd club 1 year into a 4 year deal

He's only played a handful of First Grade games, I think people are overhyping him a little bit on what he has actually delivered so far.

He was a highly touted junior... played NSW under 19s and was labelled the best half in his age group coming through. Storm signed him as a youngster with a fair bit of hype at the time.

He's had a few significant injuries the last couple of seasons which has stalled his development and obviously being behind Hughes/Munster his opportunities has been limited.

He played one really classy game late in the year when Hughes was out (I think v the Dogs from memory) and that's when the hype started he was too good to be a backup.

I think he's ready to be a first grader, I don't think he's necessarily going to be a star straight away..... My main concern is I think he is a genuine traditional number 7 and I don't think his strengths overly complement Moses.

His best attribute is his kicking game which we already have covered, decent ball player, defends solid... not much of a running game.

Maybe they plan on playing Mitch a bit wider more like a 6? not sure. Ryles would have seen a fair bit of him while he was in Melbourne so will back him to make it work.
Thanks for this. I would play him at 7 and Moses at 6. Moses gets priority on the calls though.

Moses should just hang and sort of pick his times to chime in instead of all those inside passes. Let Pezet do that. Moses can also guide the team around the park without actually touching the ball. Like a coach on the field.

However, I see Pezet really taking over the Walker role in 2-3 years instead.

Maybe we are a club who supports the player making the best decision for themselves, like Dylbro, Lane, Cartwright, Gutho, RCG, Talagi, Saunders, etc. and IF (big if) R360 is what Lomax wants to do, we won't stand in his way.
Doesn't mean there is something wrong with Lomax.

We did what was best for us not the players when it comes to Lane,Bryce,Gutho,Rcg. We flushed them down the drain.
Dylan was about to earn 1 mill a year. Another the club woukd of been happy to let walk.
Lomax is a different story. He is on 650k. And worth 650-750k. He is also young.

If Pezet is coming it will be to take over the Moses role. Ideally, we convince Lorenzo to hang around as a backup for that long and he comes into 5/8. Likely will mean we lose Fletcher. Maybe Papalii too. But of course, that all depends on everyone developing to their potential. We're Parra, any shitshow could develop.

Agree more a 7 than 6..
I like him. He's calm, controlled. Not flashy but could work well with Moses or be the main guy if Moses injury curses keep haunting him.
Let's hope we aren't paying truckloads.
I do get the feeling as well there may be scouting being done for outside back or backs...just a hunch...I know nothing of course

Would V’Landys cave if a SBW wanted to come back? Will also be interesting to see if it holds up in court.
Yep...that's also the question that came to my mind the moment I saw it. Vlandys is just talking shit and trying to psyche out the players and managers. If Walsh left and wanted back in a couple years later, he'd be getting on his knees to welcome him back.

So Baileys gone again ??
FFS, really?

The announcement is clearly a shot across the bow to say if you if you have been negotiating then stop immediately. This includes Payne Haas, Lomax, Paps and many more.

Thry obviously aren’t going to ban them when the rule wasn’t in place until today. Plus is also covers agents so it gives them time to say bugger that and get back to playing.

Need anything else explained?
